Another Xiaomi deal, this time for the Redmi 4 with 3GB/32GB. I use a mi max and there are two redmi note 3 here too, all perform well.
As is generally the case with Chinese phones this is missing band 20 (800MHz) so no o2 4G.
Delivery in 3 weeks approximately with very little chance of customs if you choose free shipping.
Price is for Gold, silver and grey are more expensive.

if deal prices can't include cash back how can foreign imports not include duty and parcelfarce fees ?

Does this include a charger? As its as a optional extra on the basket.

Package Contents
1 × Phone
1 × Built-in Battery
1 × Eject pin
1 × USB cable
1 × Power adapter (A right AC Adapter will be sent as your shipping country)
I prefer to use a 'proper' uk charger as the supplied adapter often doesn't meet uk electrical standards(the supplied charger is good quality, it's just the adapter that is questionable).

Deals are based on the price you pay, not the price you MIGHT pay.

general rule of thumb says that imported items under £135 are ignored for duty

I didn't realise that was an option. Where can you collect from?

Are you able to manage with the size of the max?

Easily, though I used to use an HTC Flyer as my daily phone, that was a struggle at times.

Xiaomi are better than some major brands when it comes to updating MIUI. My ancient Redmi Note 2 still gets updated every now and then. Low-cost Redmi Note 3 some time ago received a version of Miui based on Marshmallow ( it started off with Lollipop). This phone is rumoured to receive a Nougat update and I would be susrprised if it didn't.

Both are surprisingly cheap, not a fan of Mediatek processors though I have no first hand experience. I do know Xiaomi receive a lot of praise on hukd and rightly so IMO. Apparently Mediatek are less prone to being updated though xiaomi are continuously delivering ota updates.

Not suprised at all its a chinese phone, why would you want a second hand one? just order from china and get a shiny new one, dirt cheap anyway.

Question (on using fee free credit card for foreign purchases): what curency do you buy in? (or is that the point - it doesn't matter?)

Typically local currency though I usually use USD for Chinese sites.

depends what size screen you'd like. this has a 5 inch screen and the build quality is excellent. make sure you go for the pro/prime version (same phone). You can't go wrong with the redmi note 3 (Kate version, band 20) 5.5 inch screen around the same price.

The 'regular' version doesn't support band 20 which reduces 4G compatibility. I'm on 3 so don't miss it.

yes this is one of the better if not best Chinese brands around. many support pages including on Reddit. had my Redmi 3 pro for three months daily use only problem I've had is the camera app crashes my phone but I'm on the old MIUI update not gone to version 8

Can anybody confirm what the GPS accuracy is like on these Redmi models please? I have been using another Chinese brand (Cubot) these past 18 months and the GPS is horrendous, both when driving and when running. I gather that is common on cheaper Chinese models (esp. with Mediatek processors). I am tempted by a Redmi 3 or 4 but only if it is likely to improve accuracy in satnav/running apps.

No issues on mine while running Google maps.

I have a Redmi 3S Pro/Prime (with Band20) and I use it to track my daily dog walks and for playing Ingress. No problems here, phone generally is flawless and battery life is amazing.

showing as £139.19 here?

Problem with buying the Redmis off Gearbest and Geekbuying is that you've no idea what ROM comes with the phone. Alot of them have dodgy versions of the Chinese developer ROM with lots of boat/ad/malware.

It's clear from the description that this phone comes with the "MIUI V8.0.5.0.0 SMARTPHONE FIRMWARE 212541 161228"

That's just some seriously dodgy, fake / customised / developer version of the ROM. Definitely not the official ROM. Person who started this thread should be explaining this properly in the description.

Unless you're prepared to flash the ROM from the get go, 99% of buyers would be better off buying a Redmi phone from Ali Express (eg. HK Goldway) with the official Global International ROM, and ideally the SE version with B20 support.

Hot for the phone generally and price.

COLD for this particular deal/seller.
