Best phone you can get for £80! Today & tomorrow only (AliExpress have a sale on, after that you can get the 16GB for just a little more.)

This is the global version with band 20, so it'll work on UK networks, and has Google Play, etc.

Reviews generally say it's a good phone with decent camera, but that it's amazing for the price (and they're usually talking about the list price of £110)

Topcashback tracked for me within 5 minutes (but not payable until the phone is delivered, and transaction completed.)

I wanted a Mi Band 2, so I included that, as they had the lowest price for the global version of that too (£16.89)

Standard warnings about AliExpress apply: It's a marketplace similar to ebay, you're buying from a storefront hosted there (named as if it was official Xiaomi, but its not), it'll take weeks to be shipped, if it doesn't arrive you have to wait 60 days before you can get refunded - but if that happens they will refund. Customs usually doesn't apply (I've heard it is more likely if you pay for faster shipping.)

Cheers!
Do you know if it would work on Lyca mobile?

Yes it will.
Xiaomi provides OTA patch updates to their phones, other brands only provide updates for their mid/high end phones beyond the first 12+ months of release.
Heat from me
Is this better than the LG K8 thats come out recently at less than this?
It's £84.45 without the warranty (...it ain't worth having is it if you have to ship it back to China?) What is the Mi Band 2 like...will it work especially well with this phone as it's from the same maker...there are some problems with sync issues on the amazon reviews.

Also, how can you go about adding say the phone, the Mi Band and a flipcase and film option? ...or is it just as cheap to get those from amazon?

Still, unsure if the hassle of buying from abroad is worth it, considering you might be able to get something UK sourced for 20 quid more. (_;)
I saw an entry for £82.48 standard plus £4.xx warranty.
It said if I spent £91.xx I will get a £4 voucher.
I hadnt looked at topcashback yet.
I suspect if that was done via computer...

Do you mean does it work? Yes, GPS is good on all three of our Xiaomi phones, they're not known for gps issues.

Your clearly very insightful. Perhaps you can point me towards a British built smartphone for a similar price and higher quality.

From the computer topcashback gives 8.6x% cashback and I can see £2 vouchers off as well but prices are about £2 more than the app version.
Also, the flip case and screen protector seems a real markup from the standard option but I really want a perfect fit wallet type case.
Anyone done the sums and jumped the hoops to recommend the cheaper path...?

Just noticed my Xiaomi Hybrid Pro around £18.xx arrived today from Gearbest is £14.6x on the Aliexpress store now. Grrr.

Don't know yet about the sync, but I guess a Xiaomi phone is going to be most likely to work.

I didn't get the flipcase as there's a few on amazon for a fiver, which is less than the combo deal.

I checked that, but seemed like the coupons were only giving me £2 off. If topcashback pays out then it's more than any of the coupons, so I'll stick with that.
I looked at Amazon for the 4a case for this version but couldnt find a match..
My understanding is this global/international edition differs in size from standard 4a and I assume standard 4a case will not fit.
Did I get it right?
Pretty standard price for a Chinese phone with 2 GB ram , if you have a good look most of the oukitel phones and Ulefone can be had for around the same price with 3gb ram if not cheaper .
Sounds like a great deal and I do like this phone. You do need to check that the phone is an original when you get it however as Xiaomi devices are being copied. Aliexpress are good in my experience of refunding your money should anything go wrong.

Xiaomi are considered to be better than the other Chinese brands, this is reflected in the heat. Have a look, majority of hot Chinese mobiles here are Xiaomi.
I received the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 international version yesterday - I'm blown away by it!

The quality of the phone is like something you'd get from a top of the line Samsung or Apple.

This phone isn't quite as good as the one i got spec wise but i bet it beats out anything around the £150 on sale from UK retailers.

MIUI is ok but won't be too everyone's taste but that's fixed with downloading a new launcher from the Playstore.

Xiaomi are clearly a quality brand.
Any possibility of letting me know how to order this without the warranty please?

Select ship to USA/GBP at top right, warranty charge then drops out. You proceed without it even if you reselect UK later in the ordering process.
both my kids have a redmi note and i have a sony z5, i honestly wish i hadnt bothered as there easily as good as the sony and if you lose one of these or break its screen you just buy another, sonys cost too much to just throw away.
The sony might have more regular updates but how long do you keep a phone anyway?
The build quality on these are excellent, screens excellent and even the interface is great (to me at least) its a win win

I'm finding that as soon as I enter a UK shipping address, it adds the warranty back in. Can't seem to work around it.

To be honest I don't think that it has any effect other than dropping the warranty. If you left it set as USA/GBP it would still ship to your UK address and charge you the deal GBP.
Is it me or does Redmi 4A 32gb even exist? There is only Redmi 4A 16gb version. I can't find anything on 32gb version

I haven't changed the "ship to" back, its just that when I add, edit or amend a UK shipping address, the warranty cost comes back.
Sounds like they've twigged to this get-out and plugged it. Anyone else have any ideas? Sorry, mooch, it worked OK for me on the Redmi Note4 deal. Seems I was lucky!

it works fine with calls and text but will not work with internet at all. I've spoken to 3 who cant sort it either. something to do with the using a different wavelength? to other providers in UK. has anyone managed to get them to work on 3? I've bought a giffgaff SIM but i really would like to keep my cheap unlimited date SIM from 3 and not have to keep my iPhone too.

the original Redmi note 3 is only missing band 20. so you at the very least should be getting 3g, but there is no reason not to be getting 4g.

my redmi note 3 (admittedly he Kate se version) worked straight out of the box.

without heavily googling the problem, the default is always do a factory wipe (just in case you've bodged a setting), make sure you're up to date ROM wise, then try the SIM again.

because I'm guessing you've gone into the network settings and can see the three SIM and have selected your three SIM for data
