I have Redmi 3 is there a big difference

Spec wise not really, but from a design stand point this is a 'bezeless' phone

If you want to bin 'mainstream' manufacturers, Xiaomi is about as good as it gets.

This is exactly 2 better.

Seriously though, the only improvements of this is the bigger 5.7" 18:9 screen ratio, and newer CPU and GPU - the big negative is battery is a lower capacity. Its a good price for a budget phone, but if I were coming from redmi 3, I'd be aiming for at least the redmi 5 plus.
Anyone know if the Snapdragon 450 is any good - as good as the 625?

Most definitely. Only known by the 'in crowd' in the UK on account of them not officially selling their products here. But suffice to say they are a massive company elsewhere (took over from Samsung as the top selling brand in India in 2017). Their success is based on providing excellent products at bargain prices. Still wholly privately owned, but they are reportedly launching on the Beijing Stock Exchange this year, a move that many experts predict will value the company at 100 billion dollars!

Realistically not really close. The 625 set a new standard for speed allied to amazing battery life/price. Depends on what you use your phone for, though.

Yes. Reviews I've seen describe the real world performance as the same as snapdragon 625. However, it runs more efficiently which minimises the loss of battery capacity over redmi 5 plus.

Yep, very similar to the 625, clocked slightly slower I think? The lower capacity battery should be no issue as the processor is something like 25% more efficient than the previous generation processors e.g. 425, 430, 616.

You can buy direct from mi.com India online if you are in India link here so you can compare prices mi.com/in/…e5/.
also xiaomi have retail stores in India i know they are in Delhi but don't know where else also you can buy on Amazon India and from Flipkart link to flipkart flipkart.com/mob…_Mi and here is amazon link amazon.in/s/r…nes
At least you can get an idea of price in India
One thing to be aware of though is that India do not use band 20 for 4g so the Indian versions don't have band 20 support
