No experience with geek buying, cant comment on them, I have however with Gearbest as my Xiaomi watch is still stuck at Heathrow airport, since September actually.

I'd only buy from Ali or banggood as both companies have always delivered, as promised.

Showing £130.99 for me
I can't see that price either though I have used Geekbuying (had a mi max 2 and a mi mix 2 delivered by them just before Xmas). They can be slow to dispatch though I don't expect fast (particularly as I save so much money compared to using UK resellers).

No, same price even with account.
I'm seeing £115.58 for the 2GB version and £130.99 for the 3Gb version once logged in Must be targeted accounts.

BTW the gold version is under £106 on Ali Express (HK Goldway):

Ok, they emailed me with this offer this morning. Following the email link gives the lower price. Guess it's account specific though.
For those with experience can i please ask, How do these stack up against the Redmi Note 3 & 4?

I've used Geekbuying before and never had a problem. But quite frankly the redmi note 4 has better specs and is around the same price so I'd recommend getting that phone.
Going rate seems to be 149USD or 112GBP for 3GB gold, 160USD or 120GBP for 3GB black going by Aliexpress. The 114GBP is for the 2GB model.

Looks like a sweet phone. I'd buy one if my RN3P wasn't still going strong.

Pre-ordered the Mi A1 with GeekBuy, the despatch time kept changing from 15 days to 46 days, then 30 then 47.

Lost my patience and asked to cancel the order. They kept dragging their feet until I opened a Paypal dispute, only then they gave me my money back.

Just be aware of what you're dealing with, use Paypal for peace of mind.

I'd emphasise this.

Make sure it's the 5 Plus model, not the model the OP posted - and the 3GB variant for that matter.

Here's a few different marketplace retailers on AliExpress - all competing at the same lowest price-point;

No idea but if you scroll down it has screenies of the languages menu. Both the GLOBAL and CHINA ROM support English, just the GLOBAL variant has Google Play Store. Either way, you can flash whichever at home. The phone itself is the same - the only thing that changes is the software preinstalled. It's easy as pie to switch between the two or go for a custom ROM like LineageOS after it arrives. Usually just getting the unlock code off Xiaomi that causes most people a headache - though for me it was easy peasy. Just tell them you're a dev and they send it through in a week.
every time an "expert" here says it's easy peasy to do something, it means ending up spending hours googling and going over the same steps again and again - and wish you never started!
I just prefer to work out of the box and don't mind paying an extra tenner or two if necessary
Why would you not go for the Redmi Note 4 for only about £10 more? Better screen, CPU, camera, more memory/storage, and band 20... seems like a no brainer.

Cause the phone looks like it's from 1991.
