People here are more used to buying from China , waiting 3 months for delivery and paying UK tax . . See every deal directly from China gets hot here

I am wondering if they have the pricing right the 3 3gb / 32gb are £180 whilst this 4gb / 64gb is £144 there is no indication of it being a sale price or something like that just seams strange that it is £36 cheaper than the lower models great price if it is though.
I cant see anything about where the warranty is though heat anyway

Xiaomi may provide something in addition to UK law but doesn't really matter, its a UK retailer so that should be enough as far as any problems are concerned. As for pricing, you could be right, but be rude to not try if you need one..

Start be annoying to see so many Chinese "deals" voted hot only because price dropped by one pound.

Big company. They will be fine for this kind of thing.

As others have said, the pricing seems wrong though and it seems to be priced more like the standard Redmi 5 (not the Plus).

Also, not that I would advocate this if you don’t but if you select ‘UK Trade’ then you don’t get charged VAT. I did this through my business which is VAT registered, but £125.20 is a pretty sweet deal.

The product code changes to a N5AP32 when you select the 64G one
The second "Black" 32G one also shows the blue (R5P32LB = light blue)

I think it's an error, I'm not sure you'll be getting a 5Plus 64Gb
More likely the Note 5A 32Gb which sounds about right at £144

I ordered Redmi note 5 from Ali Express and decided to cancel my order because I was concerned about the warranty. If this company can offer assurance regarding warranty then this is a good deal.

So you bought a different model from a different seller in a different country, at the same price, I think you'll find that adds up to a different deal.

As your comment was a reply quoting rowly73 comment who had mistakenly compared this with the redmi note 5, i was just warning you incase you did not know. With regard warranty there is info in their returns policy. Also mixed reviews on trustpilot uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk

Do you mean the global version redm note 5 because the redmi note 5 pro is a Indian only version and only has two UK 4g bands supported bands 1 (2100) and 3 (1800) it does not support band 20 (800) and more importantly band 7 (2600)
No

band 20
Is this the replacement for the redmi note 4 global version? Worth getting to replace the 4gb 64gb redmi note 4? Seen Xiaomi release a few models since note 4 but battery life has been worse on each one. This one should be similar?

Yep, though going by name it's the redmi note 5 pro. These are still an upgrade on tfhe Redmi Note 4 pro as far as I'm aware.but the RN5P is pretty hard to source and expensive because of component supply shortages.

Yes sorry got the note 5 global, hope its the better one..
I'm thinking this was a pricing error. The Gold 64GB price has now been upped to £195.00 Inc VAT and the associated code changed to XIAP-R5P64GO (which seems more like what it should be). If anyone managed to get this at the lower price, well done!

Just had an order cancellation so they are onto it. They emailed saying it was a pricing error, which we all suspected anyway.

It might have been because I rung them this morning to ask (JOKE - before anyone kicks off I am in Spain so I don’t even have the option or inclination to ring).

Copy of email below FYI:

“Due to an unexpected error on our website, some of the pricing displayed was incorrect. One of the items affected was the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus 64GB Gold EU Model DUAL SIM which displayed at £120.00 plus VAT instead of £162.50 plus VAT.

It is not possible for us to supply the goods at that price and as per the terms and conditions on our website we are unable to fulfil the order. Under the circumstances we would like to offer you either a special price of £140.00 plus VAT (so an additional payment of £24.00 will be required) or a full refund for your order. If you inform us today that you wish to continue with your order, then we would expect to dispatch by the end of this week (EU models have to be imported).

Please let us know which option you would prefer and we will proceed accordingly. This is a very unusual situation and we are not sure what caused the error. We apologise for the confusion and trust you understand our predicament.“

This is not the equivalent to the redmi note 5 pro this was rebadged to the redmi note 5 for the Indian market. The redmi note 5 pro is a different Indian model with snapdragon 636 and you should not buy the pro model as it only has 1 UK supported 4g band 3 (1800) no band 7(2600) and no band 20 (800). There is no other redmi note 5 pro. If you want a redmi note 5 for the UK its the global version redmi note 5 3gb / 32gb or 4gb / 64gb for full 4g compatibility, or you can use the redmi note 5 Chinese version with no band 20 (800) if thats not a problem eg not on O2 but it will not have google services unless the seller as flashed it with the global rom and installed google services.

This is not much different to the note 4 what you need is the redmi note 5 global version it is big improvement on the note 4 a bit expensive at the moment but will drop to a more reasonable price in a couple of months.

Yes. I just ‘uncancelled’ my order as it is worthwhile at £140+VAT easily. But probably only if you need it rather than as a spare.

That depends whether you are concerned about warranty and speed of delivery,I take it it will bring the price to £175.20 you can get it for £126.68 from this seller on aliexpress aliexpress.com/ite…tml so £50 cheaper but delivery would be 2 to 6 weeks using standard aliexpress shipping (best way to avoid customs but not guaranteed ) and of course warranty would be back to China also possibility of customs if picked up. Members who have had their order picked up by customs lately have had to pay extra £12 - £14 (that includes the £8 royal mail charge for paying the customs on your behalf) as the sellers declare a lower price to keep charges down if picked up. So back to warranty this UK sellers warranty info can be read here clove.co.uk/ord…rns scroll down to warranty repairs. The way i read that is that they would send it back to manufacturer's anyway after checking it so would take about the same time but at clove's expense for sending it back. With regard to phone it is a excellent value for money phone, i personally would go for the aliexpress option i have previously bought 3 phones off this particular aliexpress seller and have not had to pay customs nor had any problems with the phones (so cant say what they would be like if one had a problem. So basically it is up to your own preference, hope this helps you a little bit .Oh bit more info that may help you to decide there are mixed reviews on trustpilot for this clove seller link here uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk

Yeah I don't need it but just thought was worth a go at that first price. I did ask when it will be dispatched as I paid for special delivery and they are 'expecting' stock by the end of the week. So no guarantees. If its gna take over a week to deliver I might aswell order from China lol

You’ll get better support from Clove. You are basically in the same boat as me - I ordered on a whim, don’t need it either but I always liked Xiaomi products and thought I’d add a phone to my ‘stuff’ especially one with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM, dual SIM and a large 18:9 display (which I don’t like for my main phone but would be fine for a mini tablet).

Thanks for the reply man, yeah I'm not concerned about warranty, for the price of the phone I don't really think it matters. Had 2 xiaomis from Aliexpress both going strong still and I've never had to use any sort of warranty for a UK sold phone either...
It was just an impulse buy as it was cheap and comes from the UK.. But yet they have no stock and will still take a minimum of a week to get here.

Even with aliexpress, if pay extra for courier delivery and pay the charges it would still work out cheaper and would get it within 10 days easy?

Just noticed, nearly 20 quid for EMS delivery. Plus then an extra 14 u say for customs?
