So how can you change the language to English if you buy the Chinese ones?

They all ship from the factory, chinese or global version, with no cables or usb chargers, some sellers chuck in a cable or a cheap 500mAh plug, but the object of this "eco" range of Redmi items, is not to supply stuff that everyone already has 10 or 20 of in the 1st place.. saving the planet and all that

They are not basic as in rubbish basic as we know it, the marketing experts at Redmi just put it on the box.. the global basic ones are just that and have the CE mark on them, the CN (china) ones have chinese as the default voice prompts, which can be changed to english anyway and are called "airdots"

No its a different seller on AliExpress, hence why I said, I think with the code, its the lowest ever, they have also confirmed to me that this is for the Basic version, so its global for £10 odd!!

So no discernable difference then? (unless I read that wrongly).

I think someone mentioned there is a difference with the actions on the side of each earpiece.
Redmi - push buttons
Mi - touch

Not sure if that's right or not

No, they are identical in operation. It's just the voice prompts which everyone says is of no issue. There are touch versions which can be had for similar price which xiaomi also make but are a few quid more, if you search round you will see the fingerprint version but they are not airdots. They also look good but I think i would go for the Chinese version at this price😁

Thanks guys you.ve taught me a bit about these n difference, wot a cheek to put price up,?anyway thanks ?

The 'Finger Print version' is actually touch controlled Haylou G1 . These have better reviews than the AirDots . I have just bought off eBay from UK based supplier, no danger of inport duty and easy return if there's a problem - says over a week to deliver but my order was picked up next day and is now at Yodel sorting hub. Yodel are normally 48 hours so actually 3 working days for delivery. The price is now £15.99 and the price of the AirDots now on this offer is £15.04 without the first time user voucher. You can skip or replay tunes and use Google assistant , etc. with the Haylou ones too. Haylou are the same manufacturer as well reviewed QCY's

I prefer the Chinese personally😁 it says they cannot be changed to English on a few questions sections but I'm not bothered about voice prompts. Basically you just pair them up, the instructions are very simple and the tap system for play and pause also very simple. It's not like the phones where global and cn version is a much bigger issue for some Good spot on the price for this one, there's a few out there very similar in price but for global you looking at clint Eastwood (a few dollars more) but i like the redmi name more
Ordered. Great price. Thankyou.

I know it's cynical but I would doubt they are genuine for that price.
Anyone know how good these are at staying in your ears, I find it difficult to find ones that fit as they need to be quite small to fit in my ears, I got the Xiaomi pistons previously and they mostly stayed in fine except I went through two pairs as one of the earphones would stop working. Looking to get some headphones for whilst I'm out cycling
Taken a punt- worth a go at £13. Thanks
How new is this particular model? Xiaomi should only be bought immediately at launch, within a few weeks fakes flood the market and outnumber the real ones 10:1

Be careful which sellers you use and be realistic about what you are paying, if it's say £8 for £14 phones then yes it's not looking good. They are usually advertised as xiaomi but not the full product, very subtle

Extremely unlikely they are, as they cost more to make than that!

There are so many fake Mi Bands / Earbuds / Other stuff on eBay from all the "UK" based chinese dropshippers, using forwarding addresses, its like the 1990's on there again!!!

Cool. To be honest I thought it was odd that in this day and age even cheap headphones would be mono but @Daz95 mentioned it on the other thread:
