The Note 11 is actually a worser phone than the Note 10 Pro. The Note 11 Pro is basically identical to the Note 10 Pro but it has 5g but a slower chipset, which means it can't make the most out of the same camera module as it can only record in 1080p and only at 30 frames per sec

That's what I thought looking at the spec, new model is worse and more …That's what I thought looking at the spec, new model is worse and more expensive. They are following Samsung.

Samsung's flagships keep getting worse since the S20 series but they actually have arguably the best phone under £300 with the Samsung A52S

I agree, the video recorder is actually really really good on the 10 but bang average at best in the 11. I've taken some outstanding videos on the 10. Throw in that they ditched an excellent macro camera on the 10 for a crappy low Res fixed focus on the 11 as well. I bagged an 8gig ram from China for £240 in may last year. Almost a year later the same phone is £300 which Is the first time in my life a phone was 25% more expensive a year later! To be fair chip and select metal shortages are driving prices up. Unfortunately Ukraine and Russia lead the global production of metals such as nickel, copper and iron. So expect more money for less phone certainly for the medium term.

Red hot! If you can wait a year for a redmi note 12 5g, just grab this. I've left a link from GSM arena where he compares the brand new redmi note 11 5g cameras to this note 10 and frankly the note 11 is a major downgrade, but probably nearly £100 more expensive. There can't be that many left at any price yet alone £169. I'm struggling to even find it anywhere near this on Ali express.

    0. I'm pretty much out of points. What I should have done is buy 2 to use £10 off over £200 code and £10 odd over £250 automatic discount for £159 each but it was early and Monday.

    Agreed.

But if you want to risk a trade-in, the best modern phone right now from Samsung, the S20 FE, is available for £299 (~£230 with student discount).

I have one of these, I was 100% happy with it but it got android 12 a couple of weeks ago and that was a downgrade as far as I'm concerned. Bluetooth/android auto issues and it does this funny stutter thing now and then but not often enough to work out what's doing it. Other than that the phone has been superb for the £199 I paid.

Gonna ask a noob question: was this a better deal than the £209 Poco F3?

Just want to fuel my buyers regret, which is pretty mental when I travel this site every spare minute of my life.
(Love that the Switch bought both. S/He's my role model)

Depends on your usage, but if you want 5g & performance (i.e gaming) then you are better off with the F3, if you want a better camera + a little extra battery then you'd probably want the Note 10 Pro.
Both excellent deals but at £169 I'd say the Note 10 Pro is maybe a slightly better overall deal but next to nothing in it really in terms of them both being great buys for the prices offered recently.

Anyone with this phone use WiFi calling? Had a MIUI update yesterday to 13 and since then when I have WiFi calling turned on there's a missed call icon in the notifications which says WiFi calling. A bit annoying as looks like a missed call. See pic

This is £199 today using 202210OFF. There is a minor glitch in that it is giving 2 x £10 off discount for daily deal from start price of £229 rather than 1 x £10 off which takes it to £209 then apply 202210OFF coupon for £199.
