Is it a significant enough upgrade and would I notice much difference in performance? I'm wanting to start recording gameplays and it's a little choppy on the Realme (nothing major, just a few dropped frames here and there). Cheers!

I think you'd notice quite a bit of difference in performance from the realme to the poco, yep

Overall okay for the price but the camera and processor are less than average for the price. Dimensity 1200 phones are available under £300, yet this has an inferior D920 processor at a higher price point....... just something to bear in mind. (edited)

This is an amazing phone. Design is superb. Super camera. The charging is super super fast and I can’t believe it does full charge in few minutes. I thought initially( when it charged 100% in 16 minutes) the battery will drain quickly. But it will last more than a day easily. Wish iPhone and Samsung could use this technology!! I would recommend to buy this phone on Amazon as this is not yet available in the UK at mi.com.

It's not just about the camera hardware. Even with a telephoto lens in this phone the results would still be very disappointing compared to your Huawei. Xiaomi keep their prices down by not investing in the software and with phone photography it's more software than hardware these days. You can get better results with gcam but still won't be a patch on your P20 even though it's 4 years old now

Do you think its worth the jump from 8gb 256gb to 6gb 128gb + the 5g?

Not a jump I'd make, no mate.
I mean obviously it depends on how you use your phone, but the processor for example in the X3 pro is better than that in the x4 pro

Give it a year and you will find yourself charging it much more regularly. Not really fair to judge how much damage the 120W charging is after such s short time

For clarification. I think this is a good phone. But the reality is such high charging speeds will degrade the battery more quickly (edited)

Not necessarily, there's a lot of charging tech in this and it actually runs 2 batteries. You can vary the charge speed too

Plugging in your phone overnight does more damage than charging this to 80 -90% in 15 mins. (edited)

It's 2 batteries charging at 60w hence why the battery is 4500mah not the usual 5000, the Note 10 pro I've been using for the past 18 month charges at 67w and the battery is doing just fine

The 11 Pro+ has a far more passive cooling too apparently so the batteries shouldn't get too warm anyway.

Audio in all of the videos is captured at 256Kbps, stereo, and sounds good. much better than Redmi Note 10 Pro that only does 96kbps.

Did the Redmi Note 8 Pro or 10 even do stereo audio recording with video?

I have only seen one option actually availble so far which is the black , gray what ever that single option is and it is only 6GB variant no 8GB seen yet. Xiaomi Mi store does not even display the other options I'd love the green but I can't see it to buy I know it isn't on that store until midday but I've already had a look and only one option shows notify.

I'm still using my Huawei P20 Mate Pro in anticipation of there being a decent replacement for it.

I would have had a genuine replacement battery fitted by Huawei Support but the company have now stopped releasing security updates to all of the 20 range.

I have been using this phone for nearly a 2 months. I never experienced battery/phone heating up due to fast charging. I think they used about more than 40 different techniques to keep heating down and extend battery performance. I had to admit Xiaomi’s technology to charge this much faster. I use an iPhone 13Pro Max as well and it takes ages to charge fully and if I use these two phones in a similar way they both last same sort of time. Hats off to 120W charging
