do they"help" with customs?

There wont be any help from the retailers, but they do mark the price very low. A good option is to choose free shipping & 90% of the time they fly through without customs duty.

There has been times for the 10% of the orders they were charged round £20 as customs duty.

Good price, I've got the note 4x and had the note 3 prior.

The phones that I have had from them are either through Yodel or NL Post, neither of which have customs declarations (don't know how they do it). Other bits have come via Germany.

I placed an order for the Amazefit and it will be coming via Royal Mail (via a warehouse in Portsmouth that lots of Chinese eBayers apparently use). I received the tracking code from the warehouse and then from Geekbuying.

So, yes, they help.

Could Anyone tell me what the camera is like, I know that I can find out in reviews but I'd prefer an owners opin

Going by reviews I have seen, not great. The Mi A1 is pretty much identical with a better camera and smaller battery however. Though I have also read that using the google camera apk from the pixel with HDR+ on this phone improves the camera quality significantly.

Got this in gold when it was 137 this is a steal and in black which I would've preferred camera is improved with open camera but then I have an S4 for that. Have some heat

Great phone, great price. I bit at this price months ago and it's honestly a great phone, charge it every 3 days!

Great deal, ordered and heated. However, I then downloaded the app... Do any of you have recent experience of geek buying? The comments on the play store reviews are less than complimentary but most are from last year or the year before.

Paid with halifax clarity CC for S75 protection and was charged £124.62. Great price!

Also got one of these six weeks ago went dead after 3 days .still trying to get money back with there (gearbest) 45 day guarantee.cost 12.50 to send back Which you have to pay .still claiming they haven't received it . PayPal awaits.

I'm thinking of just getting this over the Elephone s8. Was also looking at the Note 2. Anyone got any advice?

Note 4 is a proven popular device when compared to Elephone S8.

If you have the money for a Global Note 2 then its is for sure a good phone, then again i would suggest Mi MIX 2 for that sort of money.

any body heard of these,, are they part of geekbuying

So I received the phone on thursday and am very happy with it. It's quality and speed is as good as the hype and it seems extremely well built, it also received an OTA update straight from the box. I didn't get charged any import charges, or so I thought... Today I've received a £50 charge from DHL, surely now I've taken receipt of the item there's nothing they can do but does anyone have any experience of this, will they refuse future deliveries until this has been paid?

I doubt it, as they work for the retailers/senders of goods, not the receivers. If they refuse to deliver stuff their customers will be a bit hacked off won't they? But then again, what do I know? In my experience you pay customs etc. upfront to release an item from wherever it's being held - you don't get a bill at a random date in the future. I'd do a BoJo and tell DHL to go whistle.

Do let us know what happens.

Glad you liked it. Delivery through DHL is known for charging customs much before the item landed in the country.
Since you have already received the phone, lets just see what would be their move on this. This seems to be the first case of receiving charge after delivery. More over £50 seems to be a bit on the high side, i always thought it will be in the range of £20 mark.

Keep us informed on what is happening. Mine is arriving in the slow mail, hope it will arrive soon
