Unlike all those Apple and Samsung phones made in London?

I'm still using my Redmi Note 3, battery doesn't last as well as it used to but its over 3 years old now...

I've got this phone, got it 2 years ago now brilliant phone still works great like the day I got it. Would completely recommend Xiaomi phones best bang for buck.

I still have one of these in a drawer. As a basic phone even now it's good.

'Basic'? There's nothing basic about it it's still a top phone. Had mine over two years and there's still no lag or hardware issues with it, excellent phone, and the portrait mode on the camera takes some amazing pictures, it still amazes me.

Even Wileyfox phones are made in China.

Good price, mine is still working well after 14 months and being knocked about. Dual sim, dual VoLTE makes it a really good dual simmer.

Was going to get this, but preferred to order through ebay and get PayPal protection, but their feedback is not the best!

Android 9 running miui 11 not sure if it will get android 10 there are custom ROMs for 10 however Xiaomi often release security and miui updates regularly. There a very good brand compared to what I hear about some Chinese company's who give no updates.

Uninformed nonsense I'm afraid. My wife's Redmi Note 4 is now 31 months old and still performs faultlessly, including the 2 day battery life. It also got updated to the latest MIUI 11 a few weeks ago so STILL supported. There are a total of 11 Xiaomis in my extended family (all bought on my recommendation) some of them nearly as old as my wife's and NOT ONE has ever let their owner down. Genuinely.

Western brands?? You mean those companies who have their phones made for them in China like Xiaomi? Back to the drawing board with that theory, Mr E.

I have this phone and agree it's been well supported by Xiaomi to date. My only complaint is when looking through your contacts to call if you get distracted the phone automatically starts to call whatever number is highlighted which I find annoying, yet to find the answer on how to stop it happening.

Best phone I've had, can't fault at this price 🔥🔥
Will be a bargain for someone, heat added. My Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 that I bought in 2017 is working as well as ever. Bought a Xiaomi Mi A3 late in 2019 for around £120 but it's still in the box, I just can't let go of the Note 4! So I'm always happy to recommend the brand to friends and family.

I've got an Honor 9 that's on Android 9 as well... That's pretty good for a 2 year old phone. Mines close to 18-24 months

My mate has a Mi A2 android one that's just got Android 10

I'm not that fussed about the absolute latest but I'd want Android 9 at least

Cheers mate

Hahahaha that sounds like me! Buy a new phone but still love the old one :-)

At least you've got the replacement already. Personally like to set up the new phone before the old one dies or whatever :-)

It's a great phone decent camera, nice size screen, just works as it should I just can't justify replacing it yet as it still works great when I had iPhone before this I'd be begging to upgrade by now.

One way to stop or delay by 5 seconds is to put 2 sims.

Unfortunately that does not work. I run two sims in it already, always have. I get the 5 second delay. It does not ask which SIM to use, dials regardless using last SIM used, definitely has a mind of its own!

I've used this app (play.google.com/sto…ils?id=jp.co.telemarks.CallFilter2) to stop unintentional calls from going through for some years. Just make sure you tick the box below and a window will come up, asking you to confirm the call before dialling.

That link may not work on mobiles. Here's another: telemarks.co.jp/en/products/callfilter.htm

Just scroll down to the download link. I don't think it blocks incoming calls anymore (and it hasn't been updated for a few years) but it should stop misdials going through.

Have you tried to changing your dialer?
I had a similar problem with calls being dialed in my pocket. I changed to truphone dialer.
I've turned on the setting for confirmation before call and the option to open the contact details with a click rather than call.
To make it easier to make genuine calls I've switched on swipe to call. (Like Samsung)
Works flawlessly.
No more people shouting at my leg.
Unless I've missed something if this is the UK version shouldn't it be listed with a 20MP front camera rather than 5MP?

I see. I was confused because on here mobile.mi.com/uk/…-5/ they state 20MP front camera on the specs page.
99.99% of the population would be fine with this phone. Unfortunately 99.99% of the population are consumerist idiots.

I wouldn't say it's top tier compared to the new CPUs and games capabilities but it ain't no slouch either. I can't justify replacing it as it does everything very well! I play a few games on it, cod included and it handles everything great I just can't fault it!
Great phones, written on note 7. My battery is still good 1 year later, honestly my only issue is the unnecessary apps on the device for stock

My wife has been resisting me buying her a replacement for her 31 month old RN4 for well over a year! She loves it and sees no reason to change for the sake of it.
