That was just for the blue one this is for all colours but black and white now only available and this is a new deal for the spring sale not the old deal for £20 off just for the blue colour one. I appreciate your comment as I actually bought one for myself. I'm a new user of this site so just trying to help where I can just as much as I've been helped by all you guys so a big thanks from me.

From GSM Arena:
Battery life
Having a generous 4,500 mAh battery and a rather power-efficient SoC, one would expect good battery life. However, we were even more surprised with the results. The handset got stellar results on the screen-on tests as well as on the standby and 3G talk time. The phone's overall rating is 114 hours, which puts it in top 20 in our battery ranking.
Perhaps the chipset is more efficient than we thought it was in the first place because phones with similar scores usually carry at least 5,000 mAh units.

They are inefficient is my point. The battery would last longer with a qualcomm.

No you wont be assimilated.

Other sites disagree

If its getting warm its wasting energy.

Thermal performance is something MediaTek has traditionally struggled with, and even after all these years, the issues persist. The same cannot be said about Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs. Ever since the Snapdragon 810 which had disastrous heating issues, the company figured out how to keep the thermals in check. Not so much with MediaTek.

Fair enough, you may well be right if doing a comparison with SD. For me I can get a full day with 40%+ left. Compares well against any SD phones I've had.

Glad its working out. Overtime they will continue to get better.
I had a Xiaomi phone 3 or so years ago with one of their cpus and it would get very warm. I didnt play games or anything, just normal lie use. It was either the cpu or the graphics component but they was both the same brand so seams they have improved already.

hmm.. mine has shipped on 3rd March and still says shipped status but tracking has paused / does not show further details currently.
Sold out.
Has anyone converted from a mi note 5? If so, how did you restore phone, contacts and messages?
The 5 uses the miui apps but the 8 only has Google's equivalent.
When restoring the 8 from the 5 I am missing recent call history, recent messages and a number of recent contacts. How do I migrate them across?

Also, It was "shipped" from France on Monday and arrived yesterday without any problems.
The pause in shipping mentioned above is the handover to dpd on entering the UK.

A bit late, I know, but the Note 8T uses Snapdragon. Was £129, possible £109 with the offer from the game last week. Now not valid, sorry - but looks like they may have an Easter promotion instead, so possible £119 still?!.
Bought this in white (6GB/128GB) yesterday in their Easter sale for £169. Arrived today via DHL. So I'd assume they have sorted their delivery issues out. Not had a proper play around with it, but it seems like a decent upgrade over the Note 6.
