Morning @MrSwitch Nice

Morning mate, thanks, you OK?
A question to other Redmi Note 8 Pro users...

Since the MIUI 12 update, the ENTER key on my keyboard has gone weird, particularly when typing comments into HUKD. In the past, I'd hit ENTER to move to a new line (ie to start a new paragraph) & then carry on typing away.

Now when I hit ENTER, the keyboard disappears (as if it's performing a HOME function) & I have to tap the comments box a couple of times to bring back the keyboard to finish off the comment. It's a small thing but very annoying! Has anyone else seen this & if so, have you managed to fix it?

Good deal by the way. Voted hot.

Seems to work fine on mine. Are your apps updated?
Great phone, purchased for my daughter in may for £145. Great camera and selfie camera if that's your thing

With any android system you would be told to do 1, soft reset, if unsuccessful then 2, hard reset,
It's the usual fix for weird issues, make sure you do a backup of contacts and Google account etc
Sure this isn't the Mi Band 5 with this @MrSwitch ? I bought Note 9 Pro last week and it was the 5 it came with.

@MrSwitch. My Huawei Honor 9 phone's home button is on the verge of giving up. Is this phone a good replacement? Not really wanting to spend more than £200 on a new phone, but ideal don't want to take a step back from my current phone.

Yeah, I reckon so, I used it for a while and it performs rather well for 170 nicka

Cheers, I got the honor 9 back in march 2018, was only paying £22 a month, but didn't realise it was a fairly decent spec phone
...how's MTK Helio G90T compare to Snapdragon's chips in Xiaomi phones, tia?
Looks like a good deal. I had the note 9 pro for a month until I notice dust particles under the main camera lens. After a good search on Google I found out many of Xiaomi suffer from dust under camera lens. I had to send mine back and ask for a refund.
I wouldn`t buy any Xiaomi smartphones if the problem persist.
...this or Realme 6i – 4GB + 128GB, thinking of buying as a wedding anniversary gift for selfie obsessed wife?
Good morning Switchy
I hope you are good

Thanks fella, and I'm smashing
Good day @MrSwitch, my Mrs is looking for a new phone and is a bit overwhelmed by the choice. She's looking to spend a maximum of £200, only really uses it for web browsing, social media and taking pictures. I suggested the huawei p30 lite deal at argos, or a xiaomi note 8 or 9. Any suggestions to narrow it down?

Unless she needs the 256GB storage on the Huawei, I'd go with the redmi note 9 pro/9s, or even the realme 6 with that 90hz screen.

Depends if you want 64GB extra storage, slightly superior chip, slightly better cameras, and better battery life, is that worth £40?
