Seems like a very good price to me. Don't forget this is the PRO version (with NFC) IIRC the first Redmi for a while without a Snapdragon processor.

Doesn't seem to hinder performance. I've seen Antutu scores of 280,000+ for this phone!

Caveats:

Please be aware this is a China/Hong Kong based retailer (although they ship to you from a European warehouse thereby very much reducing the risk of Customs). Plus no meaningful warranty. But only buy from here if you are comfortable doing so and ALWAYS pay by either Paypal or credit card for extra protrection.

Voted hot. It's unbelievable what specs you are getting for your money here. One word of warning though, these are pretty big and heavy phones. One-handed use is a non-starter really.

Too late, it's gone back!
Bought one last week for £173, so this is a better deal for a cracking good phone. I got the pearl white version and produces unbelievable pictures. Not interested in gaming, so no battery issues with me.

Great price... although the Eglobal £30 delivery to Northern Ireland is a killer for me.
Good spot.

64GB model also £155.10 if anyone is interested.
Is the 'T' the better phone?

The T is the standard note 8 with NFC. This is a much better phone, also with NFC.

Oh really? I hadn't realised this had NFC too, thought that was just the T. Cheers for the info
Just got one ! Fantastic phone little upgrade from note 7
Nice!
Great post, thanks, bought one.
Heat from me for having learned that a snail's eye-stalks are called tentacles.
I'd avoid as not snapdragon. Had issues in past

Use mine one handed all the time, and my hands are average size.

I'd avoid if reviews are highlighting issues, but I don't think they are.
Mine is brilliant, zero issues.

Once it hits 150 for the 128gb version I might be tempted, the G90T Seems to be even better than the Snapdragon 730.
Ordered to replace my note 5. Nowt wrong with that, but means the young in gets an upgrade from her note 3 hand-me-down

Really?

Really?

Yup, unfortunately. I've emailed them to find out why.
This is the kind of price point that might just get me clicking to buy when I don't really need it, must resist

Keep me informed if possible thanks! If not I'm thinking using parcelly an get someone to pick it up near holyhead.
Must resist. Already have the Mi A3 and Mi Max 3 in the post
Brilliant
Nice
I think media tech have got there act together with this processor,Xiaomi wudnt have put it in there pro otherwise,it's most likely as good if not better than the snapdragon 730 yet most likely half the price, the have put a slightly larger battery in to compensate for the higher power consumption of the 12nm processor compared to the 8nm of the snapdragon 730.But the cpu is matched and the GPU is slightly better in th M.T compared to the 730

Surprised by this. It’s only a touch bigger/heavier than the RN7 which I use one handed most of the time despite not having particularly large hands.
The only issue is, will they actually send it. Sometimes I order from them no problem.

Then sometimes I order and it just get stuck in processing << They continue to advertise the item as in stock but never ship mine. CRAZY.

Same here. I promise myself never to buy from them again. Always use PayPal to pay.

It"s certainly much quicker if you go by the relevant benchmark scores! Main downside seems to be its approx 10% less efficient hence Xiaomi bumping up the battery to 4500 mAh on this phone. I suspect the extra they spent in the battery dept was easily outweighed by the money they saved on the processor!

Xiaomi's increase the battery size strategy seems to have worked well - gsmarena have the battery life at 114hrs and the phone is currently placed in 13th position in their extensive battery life league table

It's just my personal view, don't get me wrong I wouldn't want to put anyone off buying this as its a great phone. I'm 6ft 4 so not small with pretty large hands and I couldn't get my thumb to the top left of the screen without some hand gymnastics. I know that wouldn't bother a lot of people but I am used to only using my phones one-handed.

What are redmi like at updates? Will this get Android 10?
Swf77MiUk17/11/2019 00:54

Problems with mt chips in the past.

Can you be a bit more specific? I'm waiting on delivery of the pro so wondering...
