Watching your deals closely at the moment MrSwitch..i have just sold my Sony XZ2 as not compatible with BT Mobile WI-FI calling and am considering looking at non Sony handsets now.Shocking i know. But living so rural wi-fi calling is a must for me.

Anything considered if it supports wi-fi calling, there is now an Unofficial list of handsets that customers have fed back to BT mobile as working with BT mobile wi-fi calling. But consider any handset as i guess i could buy their 3G signal booster for £20.Big screen and maybe 6GB ram,AC wi-fi only real min requirements. Budget up to £250/ £300.

Thanks, will look more into that model. Have you used that model yourself? But forgot to add after Saturday i will have no handset so be better if had decent delivery turn around times.

Seems like quite a beast and great value for money. I like the mi 9 lite more, though. They went with Snapdragon processor (SD710), slightly more handy size, Super Amoled screen. The trade offs are quite useless to me (macro camera, slightly weaker cpu ,smaller battery (it's big enough on 9 lite , anyway.)

No, used the pro and uts great, I'd imagine the mi 9t being just as good, from reviews I've read and see it is.

Amazon eu's have them for the cheapest, or MM Telecom on ebay?

Can I ask for advice MrSwitch? Dual Sim with good camera for £150 or less? Happy to get refurb.
I just bought a nokia 7 plus from argos but returned it because of dodgy charge port (seems to be standard on them) so looking for another alternative.
I tried looking at o2 for the mate20 but couldnt see how to get the prices people here paid.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 at xiaomi uk is Dual Sim, and the 128gb version is only £159 on their site atm.
I got previous model: Xiaomi redmi note 7 pro 6GB, was wondering if its worth upgrading. Can't see much difference except cameras.
I've just bought the 9T (before was using MiA2) and used for a couple of days. It's a stunning value phone and being the 9T its the full international version with no missing bands. I cannot express how delighted I am with it and can't really see how people can justify £500+ on any mobile when this £250 one is so good.
It's this or the Mi 9T Pro for me.

The Mi 9T pro is tempting given it's faster and already has good custom ROM support. I see the Helio potentially getting in the way of that. I mean, I can afford the extra 100GBP but at the same time, will it make a difference, really? That's what I'm trying to decide. I definitely want something faster than the awful Snapdragon 625 on my current R5Plus (it's just too clunky for me) and I'm wondering if it's worth just going for the full-phat 855 on Mi 9T as the 625 has been waay too slow for me. Plus dat AMOLED and pop-up. But no mSD.

Ah, decisions.

If you are doing an advice thread then I had my Mi 8 written off by the insurance company today. They are offering me a refurbished S9, p20pro or £320. Both the refurbished phones would be 64gb, but I think I would prefer 129gb storage. What should I be looking at for that as a replacement sub £350? Personally I like to get android updates frequently and value photos from the rear camera.
Cheers.

Friend bought a 9T to replace his Oneplus 5/6 IIRC, he's happy with it. Don't recall him complaining about anything.

The p20 pro only came in 128gb? So maybe just stick to that, or go the o2 refresh route if you csn bare it, for an mate 20 pro?

If you have the money for the pro, then go for that, why not, they are cheap enough and tech stuffed enough to last you a very long Time (selfie cam permitting of course )

I looked at the PRO too but considering I don't game, I have no need at all for the extra processing power. If you don't need the more powerful processor, then there really is no point in going 9T Pro.

Tbf, with the prices now, they are very close, so I'd go for the pro at all times with the pricing so minimal, £264 for the pro is amazing.

Lol, don't know about that

If you didn't like the mate 20 pro, you'll probably not the the p20 pro, I'd go mi 9t out of the two.

If it were me, I'd go note 8npro,but only because I've had the mi 9t pro this year already

You have to get one of their approved handsets - i.e. one that they sell, which pretty much limits you to iPhone, Huawei or Samsung.

Very annoying as I have an Axon 7, Redmi Note 7 and a Lumia 950. The lumia is easily my favorite phone, apart from no NFC and the OS is defunct (and its the only one the wifi calling works on with BT)

Does the phone have to have been on BT mobile previously? There is an unofficial list on their site for other handsets that suggest they work with wi-fi calling but not guaranteed .BT mobile chat say i have to take out a handset deal as opposed to sim only to guarantee wi-fi calling will work and apparently ALL mobiles listed for sale on their site support wi-fi calling, been told that by 3 different operators now even though their website says different. But do not want to enter into 24 month contracts.Bit of a carry on the whole thing!

I dont think so, I got my Lumia 950 as a refurb on ebay, I think it was from Currys/PCWorld from memory. I think the way it works is that they have a whitelist of models. The lumia - the option for WiFi calling appeared as soon as BT went live with the service. The option isn't visible on my other phones. Interstingly VoLTE and HD calling works on all of my phones.
