You can also see on pictures that the 8t has a larger chin. I was confused too as I had initially only seen mention that they are identical except for nfc.

This is correct I bought the 8t and ordered an 8 cover on amazon as couldn't see any 8t covers had to return it the T is a bit bigger.

Comes with a case mines did.
Anyone had their 8T shipped yet? Mine has been processing for days.
Three must be releasing this very shortly, when I set this up during the week I spotted that WiFi calling was working on the handset with the options/settings on the SIM settings

They take a while to ship. My A3 was pending for an age and then delivery wasn't especially quick. It will come.

When it says delivering soon...

I'd say about a week. The tracking gets updated daily and I think it goes between a couple of spots before getting to the courier who'll deliver it to you.
For those interested, the 8t blue has just gone on sale for 135.99 too.
Oh and it's looking more confirmed that there will sell the 4gb /64gb version for 169.99 from 22 November. So of you want UK warranty wait until then.

All of them have UK warranty no matter the place you purchase from this was introduced by Xiaomi this year for the markets they sell in.

People that are moaning about waiting a few days this is standard practice for these Chinese companies they even state this that you tend to have to wait 7 days before it's shipped (China works this way not as separate orders but as bulk so times can vary from person to person)

The negative about eglobal is they do not always allow all credit cards I have had this problem myself so you end up being forced to pay via paypal which in past is not great if you had issues but now with uk warranty it's not a problem.

Current eglobal prices are £139 Grey - £136 Blue (Grey has tinted black skin case and Blue has clear case included)

It's a shame they don't have White that and the Grey are the best ones not fan of the blue looks like some cheap toy.

Regarding the size and weight difference compared to the Note 8 well that would be due to the added nfc and supports higher volt charging this would also explain the slight size difference to fit extra hardware inside

So we know 8T is bigger than 8. Is 8 pro same size as 8T... Just so that I know for case protection. Or are all 3 different sizes? Anyone can confirm for certain?

I have ordered some cases for the 8 and 8T, but when ordering off ebay they were listed as separate phones. Cases not arrived yet to try. I read elsewhere that they are different sizes slightly

Yeah I am aware of difference between 8 and 8T, but unsure about Pro as most eBay sites list 8 and 8 pro... Do you mind sharing a link? Thx

The pro won't fit the 8 or 8T cases due to the location of the camera - its central on the back.
Here's the 2 cases I ordered Linky and Linkyy

Here we go

Looks like all different sizes.

Link
So 8t and 8pro are similar size, but camera location is different. So all 3 have unique case requirements. Has anyone found links to 8T cases? So far I haven't seen any.

Heat added, good price. 🔥

MrSwitch...Sorry to bother you! Could I ask your opinion on options now/reasons to wait?

I've a budget that much prefers sub £200 but that would stretch to £300 if you feel it's worth it.
I'm sort of drowning in deliberation over differences in specs to prices between phones.

Knowing what you do or can predict with price drops due to Black Friday/nearly released newer models/5G etc...could you offer your advice given these factors:

MAIN
* Screen: Want as big as I can get & would prefer as good a screen quality/resolution/etc as possible
* Performance: Won't use for gaming but will have a hundred tabs open and multiple apps at once.
* Battery: would like 4000mah+ ideally but would accept less if everything else was on the money.
* Cameras: ...seem fairly impressive on the Redmi Note 8T, so would like around that level of performance.

OTHERS
* I'll only buy UK/EU
* Want headphone jack
* I don't think I'll use/need NFC

BONUS
* Stock android/no skin

Overall, I would like to purchase well/get longevity if possible, i.e. 6gb ram, snapdragon 7xx, maybe 8xx if the above wants are gettable as well for up to £300. However unless stretching to that £300 is a massively worth it deal, my preference does lie with a sub £200.

Last year I was teetering around Mi Max 2/A2 Lite/P Smart but ultimately didn't have the money to buy. Now I do but need to save some of my tech budget for a new laptop as well.

Also, I seem to remember around this time last year a thread that went deeply into budget and mid range options. Did you write that? Will you be writing another to help us through the Black Friday/Cyber Monday minefield?!

Hiya, as soon as I read this comment the phone I thought of was the Samsung galaxy A70.

6.7" super Amoled screen
4500mAh battery
Headphone jack
NFC
ONE UI
Good cameras (including a wide angle)
Snapdragon 675 (same as in pixel 3a, good all round performer)

The A70 can be had on HDEW Cameras for around £270, I'd guess it may be even less come black friday, as it hasn't had a major price drop all year.

I'm not sure I'm gonna do another mega thread this year, as they get put into discussions where no one can really benefit, so apologies for that.

Just tried a note 8 case, on a note 8T - it doesn't fit completely, and part of the glass edge is raised/charging port not central. So no point buying 8 case, for the 8T

Mine isn't doing great either, I'm used to Chinese deliveries though I'm an eGlobal virgin.

It appears it is delayed for everyone. Waiting since 11th Nov. Payed on cc via PayPal, so at some point I may contact PayPal, will probably wait to see what black Friday offers. Annoying as 3 times previously had no issues.

I wonder, is there a supply issue as my eglobal order is much the same.
I raised a support ticket, 1st ever, so let's see how big is the black hole of unresolved issues. I understand they are now banned from this site (no more eglobal deals allowed).
39122588-RLIyX.jpg
Reply to my support ticket below. My suspicion is they have not yet sent and will claim to reship once they have stock. At this point I'm happy to cancel the order, happy to receive any tips regarding my first eglobal order.

Dear customer,

Thank you for your email.

We regret to inform you that your order is being held in customs, right now there is nothing much more we can do except wait for customs to process the parcel. This will either result in them releasing your order and it will continue being sent to the courier to deliver to you. Or customs will seize the order. In the event of this action, we can proceed with a reshipment or refund.

I have requested that the logistics team send across all the relevant paperwork to get your order processed faster and hopefully released from customs and then sent out to you as soon as possible.

Please accept my sincerest apologies in this matter and we are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Many thanks,
That is exactly what I thought.. OOS and they then claim they shipped it.

Thank you very much for that, and apologies for the delay in thanking! Working 7 days a week and out of the house 80% of the day doesn't leave much time for anything...including taking advantage of the Black Friday Samsung shop deal! So I've sadly missed that £209 trade in + headphones deal which seemed awesome. So I'll have to hope for another offer on it in the coming weeks.

Oh well. Off to shop for a sub £400 laptop in the meantime then....!!
