Nice spec - has NFC and B20... tempting
It's great that Redmi phones are finally getting NFC. That was always the one thing that made them impossible to consider for me.
@A8012 your added info may confuse, as that is the note 8, and this deal is for the 8T
Hot deal. Good price for these specs with the lesser-spotted xiaomi nfc!

I noticed this morning you can get one with supposed UK delivery from miandmore on ebay for about £170 with the current code.

No problem, it gets confusing
@MrSwitch This or A40?
Is the only difference between the note 8 and 8T NFC?
This or mi9 lite? In the camera area?

I also want to know this, but kinda don't as well, as I've just picked up a Mi 9 lite for £160 with today's eBay code

Oh no, what a mare 🙈 my bad. If it's any consolation, I'm nervous as to whether it will even turn up for the time being

When you receive yours, do you mind update your experience on the phone, camera, responses and anything you can see here? If it's good, I will go ahead and buy one too ( even at a higher price). Thank you so much

I'm pleased to say it turned up this morning, so kudos to the seller for shipping it out that quickly. That being said, it was literally the phone only, nothing else whatsoever, so at least you haven't missed out too badly.

But thoughts on the phone itself:
I'm switching from a Redmi Note 4 (I did have a Samsung S8+ but that broke a few months back so I've been back on my older Redmi since then).

Set up was easy enough as I used the Google phone transfer thing which helped massively.

It's a really smart looking phone, feels nice and sturdy in your hand too. Good weight to it and not too slippy either. It's a nice bonus not to have a curved screen as well (not a fan of those having had one with the Samsung).

Stock camera is really good too. I have downloaded GCam also but it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the default camera from what I have seen of it. Night mode on the new camera is a thing of beauty, and the wide angle lens is something which I am excited to try out.

I can't seem to get the wireless charging working though, but that may well be my charger as opposed to the phone. I would most definitely recommend it to anybody, especially if you are looking at spending less than £200 on a phone with most of the bells and whistles you could ask for.

Edit: it appears there is a good reason for not being able to get my wireless charging to work... there is an apparent absence of this capability haha oops. Still, a very nippy phone, just pondering which case to put on it now. I just hate how prone to breaking these phones are nowadays, as it's beautiful on its own. Off out for breakfast now so may take it with me to test out the NFC and camera capabilities outdoors
