The 8t has NFC and is a little bigger and a little heavier despite having the same screen, other than that they're the same I believe.

Yes, I'm lucky to have never had any issues with any of the last 4/5 phones bought from China over the last few years so don't mind taking my chances again.
Any other phones recommended too would be really helpful, £200 ish budget

I've been Googling Xiaomi phones and read a lot of complaint regarding the bloatware that come with the phone. Are the bloatware really a deal breaker or should i just ignore them?

On Miui, Xiaomi's version of Android, you can hide the unused apps if they bother you using the Poco launcher, or you can go the trouble of a custom ROM and get rid of them.

I have this phone great phone for price definitely worth this igot it from ebay for £166 with the 10% off offer they had few weeks ago. I thought I read after that though that three UK would be selling this for £170 from 22nd November I take it that was incorrect then.
It was due for release in the UK on Three on 22nd November for £169.99, Three CS confirmed this is the case but it isn't in their stores yet and isn't available online yet- but should be available very soon.
How much difference is there between this and my present Note 5?

Seems to be getting a little bit sluggish as the phone updates bits and bobs (have auto update turned off but it still does a few system things. Hate the new icons that seem to have doubled in size)
Never used 3/4 of the pre-installed apps and don't update them either.

My note 5 is just as fast as it was a year ago even with all the latest updates... I do have Nova launcher instead of the horrible MiUi so don't notice any changes to icons. Maybe resetting the phone will solve your issues unless you just want an excuse to buy a new phone
@MrSwitch hi Mr switch I've just ordered this redmi note 8t from eglobal central for £131. Not received yet but have Had two Xiaomi phones from there received in 6 days .. if I get this phone quickly surely it is a much cheaper and faster option. Plus no tax from Europe warehouses ?

The biggest factor for me was the under screen scanner, I preferred physical, but now using the s10 5g with the quickest face unlock, I'm OK with the under screen.

Was a bigger issue when a typical phone had 8gb of storage and you were trying to fit all your apps on your phone. Now that the norm is 64/128 it's not much of a problem.
