Surely if paying by credit card section 75 would give you that?
If I'm using a fee free card such as Monzo to buy this I need to set payment currency to HK$ right ?

It probably would yes, but I'd be a fool not to recommend it if people don't have a credit card

Unless NFC is a must I'd go with this over the 8T any day of the week, if only for the lack of Celine Dion chin on this one

Heat added for a great price.

PS Surely it's a waste of resources for Xiaomi to make a different version of the 8 in the 8T? Why not just stick the NFC stuff in the original 8? Unless the chip is contained in the Ms Dion?

Yes, good for you, but people need to be INFORMED about what they are getting in to. Switchy used to post the the above after I started but no longer puts this "health warning" on his posts for these Chinese phones from overseas Chinese retailers. It should be on every post.

I'd also add that you will not be able to get these phones repaired at the town markets as no one there will have the parts or the desire to touch them.
Some of these phones have been coming the Xiaomi 2 year international warranty now

I once spoke to the Xiaomi UK community manager, who said take that with a pinch of salt, basically if you need the warranty, it may not apply.

That's why I assume it hasn't been sent, because of the holidays, but I'd still get on to them.
