I bought one of these and can't connect it to my router, scans for it, finds it but keeps failing connection... This is probably not the norm as the reviews are very good.. May be a hardware problem...
I had that too, quick search said I should disable something on my original router, connect again then re-enable the router. Worked after that

Try disabling 5ghz WiFi so it's just running on 2.4ghz, connect the extender then re-enable the 5ghz. That should do the trick

It was the setting for wpa2, combined or automatic. I changed mine to wpa2 only and it connected, I then changed it back to automatic and it works fine.
Internet search for me worked as I hadn't ever changed my router settings so had to find out how to do that too.
Hope that helps!
Choose country as china in settings. That fixes it and you'll be able to connect to it.
Done all of the above and still no luck

Will this work as a bridge for when you want to connect 2 devices but are given a WiFi code to connect 1 in hotels etc?
Think I've sorted the connection/time out issues with this device..

Go into your router settings...

Change the wifi security permissions mode to wpa2 or wpa2PSK then it should connect... Mine works fine now....
This might help, Set mine up last last and it's works great
How far is the range now outside your houses?
