Applied code but notice it is £12 after checkout

Same, now £12 oddments

The code actually increases the price from £12 to £17 now!

OP where did you get the code?

This is a code that has been posted on HUKD before. It seems to have a limited life. I just tried it earlier on tonight and it worked twice for me. Thought I would share as previous listings for this were popular. Sorry it seems to have finished earlier than usual.
But I would persevere and look to try using this code every couple of days and you may get lucky.

more to the point are the bulbs any good?

Yes

Every time I try this code it's expired, I'll keep trying though!

Yes yes yes. I have 7 already with more on the way. So easy to setup and work flawlessly with Alexa

A resounding yes to that question. We have our home fully yeelighted up for a fraction of the cost of Philips Hue. They work flawlessly with Alexa.

yes, just created a new account using my works email address and ordered two at the reduced price

Cheers, have ordered a couple. Code still works

IF YOU HAVING TROUBLE USING THE CODE THEN TRY THIS:

Its seem to be limited to 2 bulbs per account

Try a different account ( Use a friends if they allow ) or create a temporary email account. you will need to have access to this to confirm the link in the email they will send you.

Maybe try Nada temporary email service ( some temporary email services work and some don’t) Nada just worked for me.

I always pay via my PayPal account and it doesn’t matter if you use the same PayPal account with the same delivery address on different gearbest accounts.

This should allow you to order as many as you like on the promotion…..hope this helps

FYI I tried yesterday, it did not work. Just tried again and order with discount went through! Thanks OP!

I mean, they turn off when the last person leaves a defined area.

Still works today! Just got 2

Can these be used as a main room light? And i guess something like this would be needed?

Yes. I bought 2 for £1 in Ikea. Works fine

Code expired.

Does anybody know a trick how the code works? Do they enable it randomly for a bit everyday?

Absolute steal. Have 4 of these which work well with Amazon Alexa. They have direct wifi (unlike Hue) and work perfectly with the Yeelight App Singapore server. Ordered again just now using code supplied in post. Cost after discount £8.80. Code will only work if you buy them 1 at a time. Just do separate orders and keep your receipts.

Thanks Kandinsky. Have lots of heat. Brilliant bulbs

They can change colours. Have various "scene" colours and you can tell Alexa to set them to 25% 50 % or 100% brightness or whatever you want. You can also put them on a timer. You can control them from anywhere in the world that has has wifi. Your wall switch becomes obsolete as you just tell Alexa to switch the lights on or off.

Is everyone paying the 40P? I paid it last time but it took over a month to get it, just went with the free shipping now.

code worked for me. ordered 2. been looking for these for a while. 600lumen i believe. would have been great if these were higher but still good for mood lights

Expired for me apparently

... still use the real switch, these take a couple of watts when "off" :-(

Version 2 (out 'soon' according to a Yeelight employee on their forums) will be 800 lumens.

CAn you give a few step quide to setting up with Alexa?

Is it YeeLight app on Android - set up then install the alex Yeelight skill or more to it?

Can you get these in BC?

There may be other ways but; I used the YeeLight app to register and set up each individual bulb.
Then in the Alexa app, install the YeeLight skill and allow it to scan for bulbs.
The only thing to note is the groups you set up in The YeeLight app don't follow to the Alexa app so you need to do that process twice (small issue)
Overall, it was fairly straightforward.
The other annoyance, but this is an Alexa issue, she gets confused with devices with same/similar names. I have Sonos and YeeLight in the Kitchen but have to name them completely different

Cheers - I am up and running.
Only slight issue I had was I went to enable Yeelight on Amazon.com rather than Amazon.co.uk and of course the phone has to be on your wifi (my was accidently switched off).

Anyone got an tips on using - sure I read on here that you could ask for Disco...but so far I can turn on and off but havent maanged to change the colour

I know through the YeeLight app you can get the bulbs to pulse along with music but I've not tried that through Alexa yet... Will give it a go later.
Changing the colour works well though Alexa. "Alexa, turn kitchen lights purple" works a treat

Funnily enough my 8th bulb ordered off this thread arrived today. Now just need to plan where to place it!
