Work with IFTTT - brings everything together

If This Then That ( or IFTTT ) is both a website and a mobile app that launched in 2010 and has the slogan "Put the Internet to work for you". The idea is that you use IFTTT to automate everything from your favourite Apps and websites to App-enabled accessories and smart devices. IFTT has become the ultimate automation service for small tasks between Internet-connected services. Whether on the Web or with selected Apps on iOS and Android, IFTTT can handle anything its member service "channels" support. When user-specified events occur, follow-up tasks are triggered and handled.

There are numerous combinations ( also called "recipes" ) on IFTTT that can make your life easier. These links consist of just two elements: a Trigger ( If This ) and an Action ( Then That ) – For example, If you own a Xiaomi smart light, you could use IFTTT to automatically turn on the light every time you're tagged in a Facebook photo. In another example, you could set your light to be turned on, if motion is detected in your home when you're not at home.

The product has passed Alexa certification and could be voice controlled by Amazon Echo

thx. changed
ordered ;-)
I have some of these. They are good quality and work well. Note: Amazon Dot will control on-off and brightness only. You can't select color by voice yet.
I do like the option to point your phone camera at something and set the bulb to that color. Good for matching your wallpaper or paintwork.

agreed, it always seems to be around this price apart from the odd day or two so that they can claim a 90% price drop from the day before!
Alexa can now control colour change on these, as of today. works fine

Is that using the default app to link? or via other apps? Find they get bright enough?
Has anyone used these to compare to the hue bulbs?
my light came earlier today - set it up finally an hour ago - doddle to set up, similar way to how Sonoffs are setup. Did have a problem in that my Virgin SH in typical good time decided to conk out and need a reboot halfway through though.....piece of **** they are.

Enabled Alexa yeelight skill...didn't work initially.....

Tip.....before you add and set your bulb to the network, change the settings to use the singapore server instead of china server....the Alexa skill needs to use that one....and if you've set them already then have to reset them and scan them again.

Works fine with alexa now using simple "Alexa turn off bedroom lamp" , and "set light to 40%" etc. Doesn't seem to change the colour though (yet) or maybe I just haven't come across right words yet. When you set the light percentage, it stays within the same colour scheme that was set within the app.

Surprising how bright the bulb was compared to the dumpy old fashioned energy saver bulb that was in it previously
