Work with IFTTT - brings everything together
If This Then That ( or IFTTT ) is both a website and a mobile app that launched in 2010 and has the slogan "Put the Internet to work for you". The idea is that you use IFTTT to automate everything from your favourite Apps and websites to App-enabled accessories and smart devices. IFTT has become the ultimate automation service for small tasks between Internet-connected services. Whether on the Web or with selected Apps on iOS and Android, IFTTT can handle anything its member service "channels" support. When user-specified events occur, follow-up tasks are triggered and handled.
There are numerous combinations ( also called "recipes" ) on IFTTT that can make your life easier. These links consist of just two elements: a Trigger ( If This ) and an Action ( Then That ) – For example, If you own a Xiaomi smart light, you could use IFTTT to automatically turn on the light every time you're tagged in a Facebook photo. In another example, you could set your light to be turned on, if motion is detected in your home when you're not at home.

The product has passed Alexa certification and could be voice controlled by Amazon Echo

Cheapest price yet, I believe. Waiting on mine from the previous deal at just under 19 quid IIRC. Thinking of sticking it to the back of the Sammy curved 4k telly I've got a price match on at John Lewis...

I got two already coming ordered last week. £14.15 and £19.37 not sure what's special about this price today.

Are these any good? My Yeelight always drops connection to my wifi and the app cant see the bulb. The router is abit of a distance away but its not changed places since i set it up.

Have one behind my headboard and have ordered 2 more. Havent had any connection issues and Google Assistant integration works flawlessly. Also of note I have 6 Yeelight bulbs which are also working without issue, as you said it's probably just your routers distance. Have you thought about a plug in wifi extender?

Dumb question: What replacement plug/adaptor will I need to get this to work with a standard UK 3-pin socket?

2pin too 3pin converter

I have had one of these for about 1year. Still struggling to fine a use for it. They work very well though. I have a few colour bulbs and never had an issue with them.

The UK adaptor I got with mine had sparks flying out of it when it was plugged in.

Bin it as soon as it arrives

Whenever these arrive next year I'm thinking of setting one up in the hallway using the Xiaomi motion sensor to turn it on when it senses motion and its dark in the hallway. The newer Aqara motion sensors can also detect light.

Agree with this. The adapters they send are pretty useless and the plug always falls out. I need to buy some decent adapters but I've still not done it yet! Anyone got any links for a decent and safe brand of adapter?

I got the following, I was happy with them because the US plug is sideways which is really hard to find on cheaper adaptors. This allows the yeelight adapter to hang down!! which means if you do have it plugged in a wall it wont be falling out because its plugged in sideways.

I have a Yeelight strip set up in my bedroom which (linked with IFTTT) comes on in the morning as a deep orangey red colour which gradually brightens like a sunrise effect to wake me up. It's much kinder than an alarm clock.

Thanks umirza85.

I've been waiting well over a month for my bulbs and this strip from Gearbest. At the moment it's probably on the back of a milk float in Estonia.

Dont pick rail delivery if you want this before the new year.

Does anyone know if these can be connected to an existing Philips TV with Ambilight?
I know the Philips Hue strips can but that has its own hub.

Looks like the limit has been hit quite quickly again - that was fast this time.

They usually start working again though as this is the same code as the last deal, try again later. I'll update this post if it comes back.

All gone...

Goes up to 27 quid when I put the code in!

Lol these Yeelight promotions aren't worth the stress, just pay the few quid extra to actually get it. Great deal for those that got it but I am giving up!

Ive got a tp link extender but stopped using it as after a while i had to reset it every day. Think ill just use the Hue strips as they use mesh technology to extend range rather than relying on wifi.

Dam missed it again

Would this work with samsung smart things?

Can you still use the remaining part after cutting to your required length? Is it possible to interconnect them? Thanks!

Can these be setup as a ghetto ambilight? I've got a couple of yeelight bulbs on their way, but I'd jump at one of these if it could be made to work that way.

My yeelight led strip arrived and pleasantly surprised as it looks like I can attach to a charger. See photos. Please let me know your thoughts.

Expired but on promo for £21.07 for next 4 days. I think I'll wait to see if it comes down again. It's not like I really need it and it's a bit short at 2m but I guess it will fit behind my headboard nicely.

I ordered two recently £14 & £19 but they only offered rail mail and it's slowly making it's way.
