Searching for a budget-case in the last few days, I found out that most ATX cases at around that price are off the map -that means nobody even bothers to review them.

This case is an exception, quite a few generally positive reviews, lead me to believe that's one of the better case someone can buy for less than £40-50.

Example reviews:
1. techpowerup.com/rev…tml
2. bit-tech.net/har…w/1
3. tweaktown.com/rev…tml

Currently there's a similar deal at amazon (£35.18)

Nice post

if only I could have waited more.Ive ordered a fractal design R4 already.could have save a few quid for ssd...hot anyway!!

I have this case, it's very good. Nice layout, plenty of airflow options.

My current PC is in an Utgard a few grades higher than this and I've built using the Asgard.
I'd rate the Xigmatek cases pretty well.

The fractal R4 I'm using for a friends build and it is well put together, I certainly wouldn't feel bad using this over a cheaper Xigmatek case, there are enough design points to justify the higher price. Sound deadening and fan controller would be 2 of them.

WAs going to rubbish this as cheap and nasty but looking at the reviews it looks very good for the price. Hot!

Sick case. I like the 3.5"/2.5" drive hot swap feature. Is this deal for the side-window version? How many fans does this come with, just one?

According to the reviews, two, one at the front and one at the back.
The deal is for the side-window version unfortunately (windowed version doesn't have space for side fan, so would have to drill the window).

PS. Still waiting for the delivery so haven't seen the actual case btw.

Thanks, think I'll get this.

I have the other version which allows you to fit fans at the side. Mine has eight fans fitted now. It comes with a fan controller and allows you to hot swap hard drives. I only paid £22 for my one as local shop were no longer selling xigmatek products. Its much better then the zalman cases of the same price. You can also fit a h100 or 140mm fans.

What's your budget?

Also that's a beautiful case at a beautiful price. However i'd still recommend mATX cases for regular users (Coolermaster N200 FTW!)

Got a thermal take case a month ago... For roughly same price, not nearly as good. Damn it.

Do they come with a fancy folding mechanism to fit my ATX motherboards? I'd hate to try bending them myself and snapping the PCB.

This vs Zalman z11 plus or Fractal design define R4?

Fractal is definitely the best of the three by a large margin, that's not for dispute. I'm not sure for Z11 Plus, there is only a review from Overclock3D, which is similarly positive.

But both Z11 Plus and R4 are significantly more expensive and, if nothing else, Xigmatek has more decent looks than Z11 (imo) plus the disk slot on top is handy.

PS. Personally, if I was willing to go near the R4s £61 mark, I would be seriously tempted to pay another £24 and get this

I tried doing that but I kept on getting a BSOD. My friend over at Reynholm Industries recommended turning it off and on again and it worked!

Thanks for the advice, I can get the Fractal R4 for around £53 using Amazon/Flubit, might go for that instead

My friend is called Roy Trenneman. He's also known as Chris O'Dowd. I was having problems with an Asus board with the latest AMD Athlon XP. But it's all good now

This doesn't look bad at all, especially for the money, I was considering a Fractal R4 but this is practically half the price. Just need to get rid of my old case first.

What ever you get make sure its not the Z11, I was so disappointed with mine I sent it back. The R4 is nice but not worth the extra money over this Xigmatek, imho this is a good deal at £33!

Nice case, but only £32.25 delivered from CCL direct on cheapest delivery option.

Also £34 at lamdatek and Fierce PC.

Ballicom has it for £27.60.

This case got good to stonking reviews at its original price around £60+. At this price, it's definitely a bargain. More drive bays than most cases this size: plenty of cooling options if you want them: handy external USB 3.0 port, handy external HDD dock: good looks (always subjective, I know), and a cool finish. You will struggle to find another case at this price with so many practical/useful features.
Ballicom currently out of stock. I reckon this is now the cheapest you will get this, while stocks last. Midgard III now launched so this is older version is very much a WIGIG item.
Thanks to OP. Ordered and heat added! Also managed to find a cheap (£9) used slim-line ODD to fill the top bay and thereby free up a bay below for another HDD. Result!
