you can currently purchase the Xiva Musicm8 from advanced mp3 using the code ppal5 for 5% off and Quidco for another 4% making it about £635 delivered seems a good buy to me although i know ppl will think this is expensive in comparison to a nas drive but as an all in 1 box that rips with 1tb of storage and works with everything seems a great hifi solution

Hope this is of interest to someone

Link not working for me.
Looks like an expensive solution though....

Why not just buy a PS3 for 1/3 of the price?

Not entirely sure what it is and link not working!

it won't let me edit the link - there is osmething a little strange on this site today as the link in the direct link box is identical to the one above but still takes you to some webpage never seen before could someone at HotUKDeals please sort for me - thanks

i want one of these and this is the cheapest price i can find antwhere after spending all wend searching and trying various codes and websites - instead of voting cold please post a better price!

In most places this retail for £750 to £800

Cold from me. It's just a really expensive PC that doesn't do much. And what it does do, it doesn't look like it does well - just look at those ghastly analogue video and audio outputs at the back. Straight off a motherboard, ick.

but its not a pc that's kind of the point - its a nas drive with a brain! pre loaded with software to run everything you could prob need with the simplicity of every disk you stick in it being immediately ripped and adding artwork etc for the likes of linn, squeezebox, wii, ps3, xbox and pretty much everything else!

It's not a NAS, it's a PC. Look at the back of it - PSU fan, USB ports, your standard six audio connectors (including, as memory serves, a mic input) and a VGA output, all the hallmarks of a cheap low-end PC. The rest of the functions are probably courtesy of a customised install of Linux.

It's junk, really.

not sure why there is a spam link as the link in the direct link box is identical to the one above but won't let me change it!

For that price you could build an awesome bluray, NAS, full HD system which could be upgradeable, customizable and then you could add your own software like XBMC.

It doesnt state any processor or graphics specs!? VGA output! Your actually having a laugh if you think this is a good buy!

Original Poster

that's cause its not a computer plese read the specs - its not designed to output any graphics or sound or offer any real connectivity to be used for connecting to a monitor or tv or anything else for that matter - that's not what its designed for it's not a pc! Its a Rip Nas Drive!
I know you can buy nas storage cheaper but this allows me to sit in my lounge feeding it a CD which it will rip, store, spit out, add album artwork and tags and automatically work with my squeezebox and sonos system without the need to download anything or mess with anything

its also part of the imerge group so will be pretty bomb proof

I also ordered the lg 2tb nas drive for my movies and pictures - i am using this just to rip high quality files for my stereo so can keep my music seperate from everything else!

Also if you google this you will find very favorable reviews from a numbe rof different sources also check out the sonos forum, logitech forum and a large number of other avsites
