All these stands are churned out by the million in Chinese sweatshops. Have a look on Alibaba, prices start at $5 for stand in multiples of a 100. Abba stands are manufactured in the UK and this carries a price (as well as a quality) premium. You pays your money.......
I've got an Oxford front paddock stand, it's rubbish if I'm honest, terrible design. The front lift points are on a threaded bar with 2 nuts, to act as lock nuts. But the weight of the bike tightens one side, and as you can imagine untightens the other. Utter rubbish
Surely if you've spent thousands on a bike, a few of hundred quid on a sturdy stand instead of a cheap one is a no brainer? Repairs and the pain of it all would probs total more should it fall.
Oxford bike stands are cracking value for money, great quality and smart looking. Used front and back for years!
