You're welcome...
No no No no NO!!! it's September!!! Makes me sad. Christmas will become just another day blended in to the year. It ruins the magic of Christmas time for kids and it's all for companies greed. If you buy it at this time of year, next year they'll be selling it in June, then the year after itll be march, then before you know it it will be sold all year long.
this isnt directed at specifically this chocolate deal but ive seen other posts n threads in supermarkets with whole Christmas isles already set up and going. Cards ect being sold over 1 month ago. It drives me mad. Unless you see a true bargain that can't be left alone, don't buy it.. these chocs are usually on offer somewhere near Christmas for £4 each anyway..
do you remember how you saw Christmas when you were a child? Keep that going for kids these days rant over
And how many grams less this year??
This will be 2 for £7 at Tesco's from Wednesday 13th

What's the point of posting the chocolate 'deals' without the weight? How do we know how good the deal is?
724 or 726 grams this year depending on which figure you take as correct.

So about 55p per 100g for this and the Asda deal and 48p per 100g at Tesco from Wednesday.

Given the optimum target price for chocolate is 50p per 100g in my opinion not a bad deal.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to show the 'incredible shrinking tub' graph.

It's not just the dwindling weight. It's the dwindling quality. Sickly tasteless stuff. A shadow of the former selves. Almost a bad homage to the originals. Quality over Quality Street. Thats Cadburys now. :-(
I hate Christmas.

I agree in principle, but where is the rule that these are only for Christmas? They sell the chocs al year in bags and boxes, why does the tin make it any more "Christmassy"?

Someones perception doesn't make it fact. As far as Im aware, these are just tubs of chocolates that are already available in other packet types. Now if they had snow/ Santa or reindeer graphics etc on them, I'd agree, but as it is, its just a tub of chocs
2 for £9 in COOP, also includes Heroes if anyone is interested in those.
So true about the size of these tins in the 80s! I remember having that massive tin. Tasted so much better!

Is this a joke or true??
Is this store specific, as couldn't find any tubs in my local store today, plenty of the pouches 3 for £10 thou.
Love the way this has gone so hot even though the website states a different price and no one else has found them at this price!
Also £4 in asda.
Just a heads up to potential buyers that the Roses are not worth buying at any price since they changed the chocolate and the wrappers.

Erm ok.. It was my view. Nobody said it was fact. You don't have to agree that's fine.. I just stated what I felt about early Christmas shopping ect. I know these chocolates are available all year long in a variation on casings.. if you want to reread what I said you will see I did state what I was saying wasn't aimed at this particular post about the chocolates. Like I say, you don't have to agree, it's just my opinion on the sale of Christmas items and stores being greedy and ruining the magic of Christmas by doing so

I love the idea of buying this to save money... but I also know the reality of eating them all then having to buy more to replace them!

Which is why I said that I agree in principle, however, this is as much of a Christmas item as turkey, which I had with my carvery the other week

If you examine the box, carton or plastic "tin" then you'd notice the words "Made under Licence from Cadbury's Ltd". So the Roses are still made in Poland, until their production and manufacturing facilities are / were being updated.

The sickly sweet taste of Cadbury's chocolate is down to the reduction of milk content and sourcing of the powder, higher content of sugar, palm oil, cocoa solids used is now 20-25% (14% minimum including other ingredients) but was 27 - 30% in the past. Also the quality, refinement, and consistency of the cocoa solid is now supposedly different too. This is the main reason why the older generation complain about an ultra sweet, artificial medicinal / white spirit (close approximation), coconut sickly taste.

Also Cadbury's (Kraft / Mondelez) have changed their money back guarantee to a standard waver against your consumer rights.
Has to be the saddest post this year for three reasons...........
They were £4 each in Iceland if you only want one!
