Will have to see how they go.

I am looking for a gaming chair. But I think the missus would kill us I bought one for the new house as a house warming gift. :whistling:

We have 2 of these, they are great. Feels so much better than the rocker ones were you are sat on the floor!! Sound quality is ok, but we have surround sound in that room so don't always bother to use the sound on the chair. O/H tilts his soooo far back when watching a film, he's almost horizontal!!!

i NEED one of these...

got the new tv, COD mw2 well under way - all i am missing from the ultimate gaming package..

but the boss says no

Sorry, not looked in to these chairs much.

I see someone mention they have surround sound, so don't use the sound much.

So, my questions is this: you can obviously link this to a PS3 fine, and get the rumble features, etc, etc, but turn sound feature off, correct?

If so, is it worth it, if you would prefer to use your own sound system anyway?

Or would you be aswell just buying a different chair, as rumble, etc not really adding anything to the experience, or does it?!

Cheers.

Some Reviews ]here and ]here

There good chairs , the rumble vibrate is just the speakers ,power wire is quite short

I don't think I can bring myself to buy one without trying it first. Oh, and the fact I feel a little silly considering one with my 28th approaching at the end of the week

I wouldn't literally move if I bought this (kinda reminds me of a South Park episode when they played WaW) and stuck playing the new MW2 game!

Got one last week. Pretty good especially when playing rock band/guitar hero - with it complimenting my surround sound setup with the extra speakers and vibration. That said it is only average for comfort (only really good for occasional use, not hours on end) and it does have to be set quite loud before the vibrtation kicks in.

Also note that it only has 3 speakers, not 5 as the photo would otherwise suggest - the 'speakers' in the lower half of the seat are dummies. I actually returned my first chair thinking it was faulty and looking at the Argos reviews, i wasnt the only one caught out by the unnecessary false speakers. I thought it amusing that one the the consumer reviews linked to above (Walmart) raves about the 4.1 surround sound.

I still don't understand these. They seem to be chair, with speakers in, and a rumble feature.
I've never ever felt the need to have a rumbling chair with speakers in.

MW2...or Derren Brown.

Nice find, tempted to get one for OH for xmas

can anyone recommend me a better one?

the rumble vibrate is just the speakers

No, this one has the extra powered supplemental rumble.

It's a chair with speakers in. Doesn't really warrant £130 IMO

Love it. But my relationship with my girlfriend would effectively be over if I were to buy this or any other gaming chair.

£68 inc VAT at Costco for the exact same spec chair, just without the plastic arm rests and plinth.

hotukdeals.com/ite…sys

The picture is incorrect aswell, as it is the newer model than the one shown in the picture!

Not in the same league?

Not even the same type of chair :-(

Indeed, nor does it have the vibration and is smaller. Pretty lame trying to hijack this thread and say that the deal they posted for the one in Costco is comparable.

call it a "home cinema chair"

quidco @ £1.95

argos have taken £129.99 straight away even though item has not been shipped yet, naughty argos.

Looks cool but I'd opt for a bean bag myself

Not the same type of chair??? Its an X-Rocker and it looks exactly the same, just without the stupid plastic bits! Its wireless, and the only thing it doesnt have is the stupid vibration which you get from the Sub Woofer just as good anyway...

I said in the post, its not the one in the picture :x

guv;6925401

Exact same? It looks nothing like it!Got any pics?

I just posted the correct pic on the deal

I just clicked on the link above, but it still looks like its a rocker … I just clicked on the link above, but it still looks like its a rocker one without a proper stand. Hvve I missed something? The ones here not only have a stand, but Wifi, better speakers than the norm and high vibration. Have you compared?

You haven't missed anything thats what the user is trying to say.:w00t:

The Costco one i assume doesnt have the vibration. It was introduced in the 2009 revision and it is not vibrations from the subwoofer. It is proper massage feedback same as those found in massage chairs. In my case the vibrations is just as strong as those in my dedicated massage chair. If you havnt tried it then you cant knock it. It works extremely good when listening to music and vibrating to the drums or gutar riffs. IMO it what makes this one standout. :-D

... and to say its the same cause its a x-rocker ...... theres about a dozen versions of the x-rocker. The only one better than this is the x-rocker pro 2009 advanced.

its now gone up to £149.

Does anyone know if the base is removable so the chair can stand on the ground on it's own?
