Code MK808BCN
Code only works if you make an account and login first. It says EU plug, but mine came with a EU to UK adapter as well. Comes from China so takes about 2 weeks, had mine for a few weeks now and it's brilliant. I also got from ebay a USB Ethernet adapter for £2, a box with Ethernet build it would have been nice, but not for double the price. It's the best android device I've owned so far (my 3rd one). It runs an amlogic cpu so has way better xbmc/kodi support. It's the only device I have that can do my 9GB BD rips with full DTS-HD 7.1 audio. My other rockchip based quadcore box is a stuttering mess even with normal audio, nevermind the DTS-HD.
Gearbest aren't a HUKD approved retailer hence me not posting it as a deal.

Android apps so anything on google play, catchup TV (iplayer, itv, 4od), live tv (tv catchup app), games, proper local media playback etc.
I've got the stick version of that box, and the stick version of the box in this deal.
That one you've linked to is a rockchip chipset and a pile of junk, the extra ram is useless when it's a stuttering mess on high quality files, where as the amlogic chipset used in this deal handles them without breaking a sweat and can do full 7.1 HD audio. No comparison at all!
- It came from China
- The lead on the mains adaptor is quite short
- No batteries with the remote
But apart from that, it works fine ☺ Instructions are lacking in detail a bit, but there is a setup wizard which I would advise everyone to use..
WiFi works well, HDMI works well. Can add other Android apps if needed. VPN isn't a problem either, I use CyberGhost (with their app from the app store) as they had a cracking deal the other week, with a 12 month subscription for $10 / £6.50 odd !
XBMC content is good, BT Sports, Sky Sports, Movies and TV Series all on there.
The supplied remote is more than adequate too - some people moan and say you should get a remote with keyboard, but it really isn't needed.
At this price is a bargain ☺
You have two USB connection points with the MK808 series as standard.
One full size USB and one OTG USB slot with included full size connector.
What you do is hook up a USB hub (e.g. 4 port) to one of those connections and you can add as many items as you like.
I have my MK808 with a powered USB hub so that I can plug in portable hard drives but normally use it for USB thumb drives and a permanent LAN to USB connected so that I have a wired ethernet connection. WiFi is a bit flakey (read weak) on the MK808 series sticks from my experience.
On 29 quid? No chance. Maybe on 39 quid but I'd be surprised. Besides, they only check a fraction of parcels.

Which they will mark as a gift as they always do.
I didn't necessarily mean an official foundation effort. As I said the mood is quite hostile over there though with one experienced person making the comment "go and buy a £30 tablet from tesco if you want android" or words to that effect when someone enquired after the Pi2 launch. To me that completely misses the point of what the foundation have achieved in building such a strong community and having a choice of operating systems.
Also I'm not sure how this part of the industry works. If broadcom want their chip / videocore to be used in Android devices then they provide the driver? It seems odd they don't in that case unless it risks business in other areas/chips I guess.
Both very good but this is £40 and runs on an AMLOGIC chipset which is perfect for XBMC. You can't go wrong with this.
absolutely brilliant had a mediacenter pc hooked up to the tv for years it is now redundant buy one you wont be disappointed.
+1 here. *Every* single premiership game in HD for the price of a DNS sub, about £3 per month. Plus golf, nfl and ice hockey if you're into that kind of thing...
Someone asked a straightforward question (which you state in this comment that the answer is yes) in which you said no to, I just pointed out that the answer is yes, no need to keep the real answer to yourself
And also like you say, there is nothing illegal about Kodi, although I think they might need to delete their forum if they don't want to be associated with addons...
Er, yes, that was great until about a week ago and everyone in the world appears to know this now.
It was absolutely unusable for the Spurs / Arsenal game at the weekend. Buffering all over the show.
Using both Hola and UnblockUS.
It is good for films and tv shows, it is like having an on demand Library. It might be ok for Boxing but I have used acestreams via Phoenix and it is fine except when the match is on and then it all goes to pot. I also used HD acestreams I think and it was the same thing. Never tried the NBC app though.
Get yourself a better VPN. Try UnoTelly.
Also, try lowering the quality in the add-on settings.
From what I hear NBC is the only best add on for live football. The quality is really good and there is no buffering. However, you do need to pay for vpn. The best free vpn I think is cyberghost but I struggle to get it working properly on an android box

Where's the best place to get a pass ?
Premierleaguepass.com?
NBC is the same quality as watching Sky Sports HD or BT Sports HD, although there can be some buffering involved...
No but i had a fire TV since UK launch and sold it. I now have a Rk3288, AML 802 and AML 805 devices. the RK3288 device blows the fire tv out the water!
The fire TV is solid, well built and has a decent remote but with a custom version of android and lack of software root things soon become irritating. Examples: Lack of VPN support(amazon removed the service), Lack of mass storage support(USB HDD) and no easy way to block updates (Always useful incase a new root is discovered or amazon decide to block xbmc for example).
Updates can be blocked if you have a router that supports this function but thats an added cost if you dont. Also having to navigate through a few menus to to get to XBMC is a pain, i know Lama can get round this but again its another pain.
I think you'll be better off with a Now TV box for around £20, that has most of the catch up apps, such as iPlayer, ITV Player, 4OD and five etc...
You might even get lucky in Sainsbury for £9.99..

RK. I'd rather an Amlogic chip with 1GB RAM any day.

we still talking about the wire ?

Granted the s812 is little bit more expensive but I think it's worth it. Both the s805 and s812 supports gig ethernet which could be useful for those of us with gig at the LAN.
See amlogic.com/pro…htm for a comparison.
Incidentally searching s812 on fleebay come up with this item which I haven't seen before, what do you think?

Didn't mean to delete the link, but it's item number 371233683438
Can't remember what I used to do that rip, only did it once ages ago due to size, go for much smaller now and use handbrake. Although been a while since I really did any, watching more tv boxsets atm.
How long does it need to be up your bottom before it works? It's been two hours and nothing.
Bought one of those for $29 looking forward to it thanks
I'd be interested to know myself, according to the Android Sky Go App it now supports all devices with Android 4.0 or higher.

Bought one based on your suggestion and really pleased - just waiting on the air mouse now.
Thanks for the suggestion
Here you go. £42.99 delivered. Ordered it on Saturday the 21st, it arrived on Tuesday 24th
ebay.co.uk/itm…AIT
My stick arrived today (ordered 14Feb and selected the extra Dutch post option for 75p extra).
Seems great so far - well impressed for 20 quid.
Didnt expect XMBC to be preinstalled.....question is are you guys using the existing one or installing Koid from the play store.
Thanks again for the tip DCX for the tip...htink I will be getting another for another TV.
Also got an SD slot - presume could just load up sme films and take it on holiday plug in to hotel TV and away.
Glad you're liking it! Kodi isn't on the play store, the closest [semi-official] thing on the play store is SPMC, but that's not been updated and is still the older 13.4 Gotham build. I've installed the latest 14.1 Helix on mine from the Kodi site, works great. I never bothered with the older out of date one shipped, agree it's good that it's pre-installed though and yeah you can just stick a microsd card in and play off there.
