I've got the gtx1060 and 8gb spec of this very laptop, paid £1124.10 from the hp store, I've not experienced any heat problems as of yet, and it gone between 90-95, that's without the fans at full whack 👌🏻
Is there any point in having a screen higher than a 120hz refresh rate on a screen so small?
Around 90 on full load yeah, I've also read its normal. My laptop with a game running on max hits 85-90, but I guess where its a concern when it hits high 90s going close to a 100.
I thought 90 was acceptable with modern laptop processors? During heavy usage my MacBook Pro would regularly hit 90-95c. This worried me at first but apparently it’s normal according to a myriad of people on forums.
Yeah I had a -120mv stable undervolt and it still reached that high according to the hp software. Performance was good though. I returned it in the end. I did not set up a custom fan curve which may have helped. Weirdly the fans didn't ramp up until it got to 90+, then they kicked in hard until the temps dropped, but then the fans slowed down again
