SynopsisTwo action movies starring Vin Diesel. In 'xXx' (2002), Xander Cage (Diesel) is an extreme sports fanatic who gets forcibly conscripted into the US secret service when his latest stunt lands him in trouble with the law. Sent to Prague with instructions to infiltrate an ex-Red Army terrorist group, Xander soon discovers plans to develop a deadly biological weapon intended for use against various cities across the globe. But Yelena (Asia Argento), the girlfriend of terrorist leader Yorgi (Marton Csokas), already has her suspicions about the US agent, and the growing tension between the two of them means that Xander's cover might be blown at any moment. In 'The Chronicles of Riddick' (2004), Diesel reprises his role as night-eyed antihero Riddick in this sequel to 'Pitch Black'. In an attempt to evade the mercenaries after him, Riddick escapes to the distant planet of Helion - only to find himself caught in the middle of a violent and bloody intergalactic conflict between two opposing forces: the Elementals, led by Aerion (Judi Dench) and the Necromongers, led by the bloodthirsty Lord Marshall (Colm Feore).

No, it should be cold because:

- This is a non-deal. You cannot get it for 49p delivered (basket value must be at least £2.50 to go to checkout). Deal should really be amended to reflect this!!!!!!!

- Choices have a growing reputation for sending out sub-standard & second-hand stock.

- I've received 50 odd dvds from them so far in this sale - every one has been perfect

- there are so many bargains in their sale - am I supposed to recommend a basket of them that exceeds 2.50 ?

I've added "basket value must be at least £2.50 to go to checkout" to the deal description

In order to add some balance, I'll simply state that I ordered around a dozen items a few weeks ago. Only around half were *new*. I'm not alone... there have been many other reports of people with similar experiences recently.

Everyone is however totally free to draw their own conclusions and make their own decisions. I just wish I had read some of the threads here more closely before making mine!!!!

Ive posted a few deals for this company over the last two weeks. All items recieved have been new and sealed. If I recieved faulty goods i would send them back! Simple. Its worth checking the site as I spotted some PS3 games today. Battlefiled 2 for £7.99 and Tiger woods 09 for £3.99. I didnt post them as they ony had a couple off each left.

I bought 2 this afternoon 1 for me and one for a mate

Good deal but just to solidify this claim my Hellboy DVD was advertised as new but arrived heavily scratched & the inside of the case had a strong smell of tobacco. Others received a brand new copy. The quality you receive seems to be down to luck. For 49p it would probably be worth taking the risk.

When you go on the site at the mo there are no deals

There's nothing at all there as the site has crashed. This always seems to happen at 11pm Friday nights. However, when it's up again there will be hundreds of clearance offers from as little as 49p for a DVD. And for the record I've received 21 DVDs from them in the last couple of weeks and all have been new and sealed. I get the impression some people just can't accept that somebody else has beaten them to a bargain. I've missed some that I would have ordered if I'd been on line at the right moment but I'm pleased that others have been lucky. I'm more than happy with what I've got hold of.

The site is now up and running with 1341 DVD titles under £3.00.

Sorry, there has been an error!

Interestingly, many of the items in their clearance (and site-wide) are now clearly marked as 'pre-owned' (wasn't like that 2 weeks ago!!). Maybe Choices follow the criticism on this forum and have decided to clearly mark new from pre-owned. Whatever, it's a step in the right direction so long as they send the item in the condition you expect.

could you post an example of one so marked as i cant find one, and be very useful for future reference - thanks :-)

40 dvds arrived in the post today - 39 perfect, one dvd slightly marked inside, but still wrapped, so presumably came loose in the post - all dvds still wrapped

In the clearance DVD section around the £1 price mark there is page upon page of items marked pre-owned (previously nothing was marked as such):
