While looking for a headset on shopto, i stumbled across Yakuza 4 for the PS3. At £8.86 i could'nt resist it and thought i'd share it on here.

This version Shopto are selling includes: 4 pieces of bonus content, featuring unlockable costumes & battle modes, previously only available in Japan. And not for the UK. Good on you shopto

Yakuza 4 picks up the story of Yakuza 3 one year later and takes the player back to Tokyo. The story starts when a man is shot to death in the ruling territory of the Tojo Clan, the organisation that has featured in all games in the series to date. A small gang which belongs to Tojo Clan try to establish what happened and their leader is soon found stabbed to death. These events cause a heated battle between four men over money, power, status and honour. The truth becomes apparent as the lies, betrayals and entwined stories are revealed and when these 4 unflinching men get together, the new legend of Kamurocho is born.

For the first time, fans can experience the Japanese underworld not just through the eyes of Kazuma Kiryu, but three intriguing new characters each with their own compelling backstory and a gripping interwoven plot.

Experience the Japanese underworld under the guise of 4 characters - it would not be a Yakuza game if you couldn't still play as Kazuma, but now play as three of the other key characters from the franchise. Each character has different missions and allows the player to explore the city from different viewpoints and engage in the Japanese underworld more than has ever been seen before.

Authentic replication of Tokyo - In addition to the bright lights of downtown Tokyo, players can now go into the depths of the intricate underground, explore the backstreets of the city and take in the views from the rooftops of buildings.

Become the ultimate fighter - enhanced battle mechanics and a new fighter training system allow players to work on their skills and become the ultimate fighter.

Deep Japanese story - an intricate storyline that incorporates all aspects of Japanese culture including hostess bars, karaoke and city exploration

I've got 1 and 2 for PS2, they were cheap from Amazon.
Using PCSX2 on the PC, i pop the games in the PC and i've started to play Yakuza 1 and 2 in 1080p HD.
is there is a lot of 'effin and jeffin' in this?
people compare this to Shenmue a lot but I've yet to try as I just can't stand bad language in games! I must be getting old...

but bad language makes all games much better

'Yakuza'...?
Sounds amazing (_;)
Really tempted by this one.
im till on the firt one on ps2, it was getting good but then i stopped playing it like 3 years ago, tbh I find it hard to get motivated to play games these days. I have all consoles and a reasonable pc, apart from 3ds and vita, yet I hardly ever play them! Its weird because I was a massive gamer when iw as younger.
This is brand new right?

The language is Japanese with subtitles and I don't remember any swearing.
Loved the third one. Ordered and heat added. Cheers OP
Great game. Epic storyline but some long cut scenes and a lot of text. You've been warned.

Great fun fighting as Saejima who picks up anything close to hand...including motor bikes lol
Although this game is quite quirky, it is pretty darn good - well worth it at this price, the closest we will ever get to a Shenmue 3 =(

Will be my mistake probably. Last night I was tired. Now seeing your post the first logical thing that popped into my head was [A] It must be 1 per customer or [B]they added more stock shortly after I posted my comment.

Edit having now logged in this morning it's 1 per customer/ account

Don't rule it out yet, there's Shenmue 1 and 2 HD coming out and if those do well...
Sega won't do shenmue 3 now, they can't afford it anymore and I'm not even sure if Yu Suzuki even still works for them. I can't wait for the HD Shenmue and JSR remakes though.
great price can't weait to play mine. heat added
Picked this up from Tescos last week for only £8 instore. Might be worth a look there if you wanna save a few more pennies?
A great game. I initially thought it was a short game as the map is so small, but it's across many layers and there's tons of sub-stories if you want to do them. As well as golf, pool and arcade games to play with to. So I finished after 50hours and yet it still reported me as being only 36% complete.

Actually, this comes in at around £8.29 after Shopto cashback and Quidco so you're getting it at not too much over £8 anyway.

Gave in and ordered it, will hopefully be the last game that I buy for a while as I have a few to get through and man when Shopto said that it was ready for immediate dispatch, they meant it, I got my dispatch email within 2 minutes of the order confirmation.

so the codes wont work then - your fault if they dont.

and to the person going on about buying from shopto plus quidco = £8.29 rather than getting it for £8 at tesco instore - well i bought it a month ago from tesco online for £8 which after quidco is about £7.30

as for the extra content im not fussed - bought yakuza 3 last year for £7 with extra dlc and never used it. i dont even know why i bought the games ill probably never play them, i guess they just look cool on the shelf.
Got my copy yesterday and it's the EU version, not for UK sale because it isn't BBFC certified. I'm not really planning on trading it in anyway personally but I'm sure that cex would take it if you really wanted to get rid of it at some point.
Possibly the last Yakuza game we'll see in the West what with Sega's massive money issues :,(
Played it over the weekend - really great game. Loads to do and I always seem to lose time playing on the arcade machines.
