Actually most of the PS4 Yakuzas are on sale . It's a Yakuza Bonanza.

Good price for Fist of the North Star especially, as I don't think it'll ever go that low for a physical copy.
Fist of the North Star is hugely underrated and absolutely hilarious. Can't recommend it enough, especially if you like Yakuza.
Hmm tempted by Fist Of The Northstar. I already have all the Yakuza's.
I have not played any of these. Do you start with zero?

what are they like and what do they compare too?

i didn’t enjoy Persona so not tried any of these types of games since

I've never played Persona but I don't think Yakuza is anything like that. It's a slapstick action beatemup and similar to GTA in the way of mission structure.

EDIT: I'd say start with Yakuza Kiwami (the first game remastered for PS4) or Yakuza Zero (the prequel).

Do you have Plus? The first game was given as part of that about a year ago.

Yakuza is very, very different from Persona. Persona is an RPG, whereas Yakuza is an open world action game (and a very good one at that). So don't let not liking Persona put you off. Yakuza is a fantastic series.

Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the PS2 original which first kicked off the franchise and story. However Zero is a prequel set a good number of years before the events of Kiwami so from a story standpoint that would be your start point. However from a gameplay standpoint, Zero introduced a lot of new features to make it perhaps the best Yakuza game to date, so if you played that first Kiwami would then feel like a huge step back (as great as the game still is). I started with Kiwami but the choice is yours.

As others have said Yakuza is nothing like the Persona games at all; very different types of games. To try and describe it as best I can, I'd say it is sort of a cross between Streets Of Rage and Shenmue (loosely speaking). There is a lot of hand to hand combat in the game (all in real time) but set in a sandbox environment with a huge amount of side activities and a deep, enthralling main story. Also don't go thinking it is a Japanese equivalent to GTA which is sometimes used as a somewhat misleading analogy of the games... to me the franchises are very different.

Sorry for the long reply. Just my thoughts on the games and others can advise as they see fit. Hope it helps anyway

Many thanks. I am looking for new games to play so I might give this a try. Shame none of them seem to be on PS Plus as I bought that by accident last month
Thanks picked up Yakuza 6. Now I only need to complete kiwami 2, and the remastered collection lol.
Thanks for the info, I managed to pick up Yakuka Kiwami 2 and Yakuza 6 using a psn credit deal posted on here .
