For anyone who prefers Amazon, it is 4p more (matching Argos).

In 2005, a legend was born on the PlayStation 2 - the legend of Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, in his video game debut with Yakuza. Now, 12 years after that release, a new generation of players will be able to experience the incomparable action and drama of the Yakuza series with the rebuilt-from-scratch HD remake exclusive to PlayStation 4, Yakuza Kiwami.

"Kiwami" means Extreme, and the game takes that concept to heart. It's not an HD-remaster or up-rezzing of PS2-era textures. Yakuza Kiwami was recreated from the ground up exclusively for the PlayStation 4. That means every visual element was optimized for the 1080p/60fps environment, every line of the script was re-recorded by series actors and for the first time in the West, gamers will be able to hear the original Japanese language track.

Then there's the game itself! The PS2-era brawling gameplay is refined for the current gen with Kazuma Kiryu fighting his way through the ranks of Yakuza, only to wind up protecting a young girl whose aunt (who also happens to be Kiryu's childhood sweetheart) is missing...along with 10 billion yen.

Game Features

  • Not just a graphical upgrade, Yakuza Kiwami adds nearly 30 minutes of cutscenes alone, providing all-new insight into the game's plot and creating common threads with series prequel, Yakuza-0.
  • Yakuza Kiwami is the ultimate bridge in the series for both newcomers and Yakuza veterans.
  • Completely new to Yakuza Kiwami is the "Majima Everywhere" system, where the series' deranged, one-eyed maniac will constantly surprise and challenge Kiryu to combat when he least expects it
  • Built from the ground up with all new assets, exclusive Japanese voice audio re-recorded by the series cast, and optimised for the PlayStation 4

£19.99 at Grainger Games for a used copy with free delivery. Probably good condition. Not been out long enough to get bashed around hopefully.

They're also selling it new for £24.99 if TGC sell out.

So many Yakuza games, i've only ever played 3

Is this the very first game, but in HD? then I need to play Zero after that?

Uhh... You sure?

I ordered the £24.99 one. It was perfect.
I don't know why people have a downer on Grainger Games. They're no worse than Game or Cex.

Play Yakuza 0 first. It isn't vital you play it at all, but it's the correct order of events.

The two games are also linked in various ways.

I'll pick it up soon I think, been very tempted for a while especially hearing the similarities to Shenmue!

I've never had tatty ex-display (confirmed by them in an e-mail to me) sold to me as new by Game, Cex, Amazon or in fact any reputable company.

Further I've never had customer service where they seem to only want to act for the best interests of the company rather than you and shut you down when you try to get help after buying "new" stock only to receive things that look worse than preowned.

Grainger Games don't deserve to be supporting with their practises and whilst Game and Cex certainly do have their issues I know that I can at least trust them to a reasonable degree compared to Grainger Games so that if I buy new I'll definitely be getting new and if I buy preowned I'll likely be getting better condition than a "new" one from Grainger Games. And if I have any problems with my order their customer support will actually try and help me in my experience.

Maybe I've just been lucky so far. I've bought about 4 or 5 things from them and they've all been decent.

It sounds like you've been really lucky. I gave them a few chances and they screwed up every single time.

The last straw for me was a collector's edition of a game and it was a right state, not even close to mint despite me paying extra to get a new copy. Naturally I contact their CS team and it went backwards and forwards a bit and then they admitted that when the say "new" there's actually a high chance that any of their stock will be ex-display and just pulled from a shop and shipped out to you.

I'm glad it's worked out for you with them so far but jut be careful in case they screw you over too.

I think you are being a bit harsh on GG. I agree they are more than hit and miss but I had preowned orders in which I received sealed game from them (bear in mind knowing the situation, I have always ordered preowned stuff from them). But with preowned stuff they also tend to send knocked off stuff a lot. I have returned a couple of games for that reason to them and reduced the number of purchases I was making from them.

I think we've had this discussion before though where we agreed that we were seeing different sides as you always ordered preowned and I always ordered new from them which, when we talked about it in an older thread, the difference between quality and service was completely different.

I'd still stick firmly by though that I don't personally feel that they should be supported when it seems to be an ongoing issue with them and new games.
