useless company, took months to fight for a refund on coffee maker and promised postage costs as it was faulty and still not got it back> they seem to sell faulty rubbish so be careful and saving money may cause more hassle in the end.

i hardly think your own tale of woe warrants the whole company being dissed. i've never had a problem with argos ebay so, what does that say for your comment?

my own purchase was a 17" laptop, probably worth a half dozen times your coffee maker and it was a bargain and faultless so i think the 'faulty rubbish' claim is just the normal exception that proves a rule... can't vouch for their returns policy but i suspect it's better than usual, in spite of your protests?

be interested in hearing comments from anyone who has this product, so i can't make a judgement on the product for sale not someone's suspect experience...

I have the Yale alarm fitted. I was lucky enough to get the Premium deal some time ago for about £90 if I recall. Still, this seems to be a good deal.

It was easy to install and works really well (although thankfully I've not had any attempted burglaries, maybe that's down to the yelow bell box outside, who knows...).

Adding additional sensor is straightforward and there are some good bolt ons (e.g. the keyfob remote). The only false alarms I've had were due to my cats leaping around and setting off the PIRs (even though they were pet friendly).

The price of additional sensor is quite high but worth it in my opinion. All in all I'm very happy with my system. It will even call me if the alarm sounds (I can also actiavte and deactivate it over the phone - not sure if this version has the telephone interface though).

As for the vendor, I rate their customer service quite highly. I have had to send back a few dud laptops that I bought and their courier collection service and refund process was fine.

Hopefully you do not have a problem with your laptop because by all accounts Argos "ebay" returns is a blooming nightmare for electrical goods.

I suggest you google it.

Don't think there's a phone interface with this alarm. Control panel is "standard control panel"
The next model up - HSA6400 - has the "telecommunicating control panel"

There is none left and as above no telecommunicating facility

loads instore at their clearance bargains store in Corby, I'm sick of seeing them. I am after the Premium with the phone alert feature

Who cares what the amount was..... its the fact they are useless if there's a problem so you have better pray ur laptops dont blow up lol!!!
Just my experience from a few weeks back and 60.00 for a coffee machine plus postage was enough to pay!
Some people!!!!
And i have a yale alarm but the better model lol its rings my phone if it goes off and its great but didnt buy from crappy argos outlet. maybe you were lucky... time will tell but many others have had problems with them sending out crappy second hand stuff!! read up online if ur laptops still going!.
