Yale Conexis L1 Smart Lock Handle Chrome

Another smart lock deal for those who are interested, best price I've seen for a while. Once again lets get a few things out the way for all you hyper critical people.

1. Can it be hacked?
Probably but window glass can smashed, locks can be snapped/picked. Despite your mate Bob telling you he did it with his old 5110 nokia and a hair pin they're just as susceptible as all other locks.

2.Can i monitored by ET or the NSA?
Probably but I'm sure they have more interesting things to monitor that when you open and close your door.

3. Are they full of glitches?
Probably but it can come down to the fitting and maintenance 90% of the time. I'm sure you decided to DIY the lock and think you're awesome at it, but your wonky shelves speak louder than you complaints.

4. Do i care?
No. I'm just posting the best deal I've spotted so if you want to try and see if its a waste of money or not it won't be the most expensive mistake you've ever made.

Thank you all for your comments and votes in advance.

On point number 2. Have you seen what having a 5g transmitter outside your house can do? Allegedly there are small enough to be everywhere and can create 3D constructions of everything
Did you spot the post an hour ago... might cost more but you get a free camera!!!!

You're right i posted it and saw it straight after. Gutted. Im hoping my Q and A will edge it though. The other post is an innocent one will be eaten by the anti-technology wolves....
"they're just as susceptible as all other locks" is a bit of a Boris Johnson statement.

I combed my hair first....
I might buy this, I'm not sure yet. I'm just heating this purely because of the description.
Heat for just the Q&A!!!

You win hands down for the Q&A.... but you were already on a looser for even posting this in lots of peoples eyes!!!
I love deals where a bit of defensive narrative is required -
I want one - but I have to question myself as to I can easily just lose my gob or phone ahead of my key
so the smart element is Yale seducing you into thinking you need it - I do - I just haven’t got the sterlings to part with
Hilarious

I want one..... just can’t justify the price!!! Sub £100 I’m in!!
Those 31% negative (1 star) reviews made me shudder I'm a tech geek but wouldn't want the level of support that apparently isn't given when these things fail
I've got zero interest in 'lazy locks' but heat and top marks for the description :-)
On the face of it, this doesn't look like a very good deal - 3%. But when you look at the RRP £269.99, now that's a different story.
Looked at these on numerous occasions as I have a Yale alarm and can be controlled from the app. The module is needed to connect to the hub, apparently this eats the battery. Great idea, not quite there yet seems to be the consensus.
It'll be hilarious in a few years when they inevitably shut down the cloud servers and people can't get into their homes.
Read the amazon reviews and the app store reviews, and you might think twice before considering this lock...

The android app hasn't been updated in over a year!!
Well where I live, this wouldn't last 5 minutes, I'm not taking about them getting past the lock, I'm taking about them walking off with it.
I purchased this probably about a year ago now. Fitted it correctly following the instructional video and at first it worked perfectly. Bought 4 fobs for it too and registered those with it. It worked fine for the first few days but then seemed to loose the configuration of the fobs. I contacted their support and their response time and help was abysmal.

In the end I took it off the door, reset it and set it up again only for the same thing to happen. Quite worrying.

So off it came and it went back to Amazon for a refund.

Shame as I really liked the thought of a keyless lock on the door. Maybe I had a faulty one.... If Yales support had been better I might have tried a replacement.

Still voting hot as its the best deal for this item.
Terrible reviews.

Unfortunately I think Yale are showing their heritage as a lock company rather than the tech orientated one. Their sync smart alarm looks great, but they still need to get everything working together on one harmonised eco system and invest in the apps that pull them all together rather than a bunch of different apps so different products. Once they get that sorted they'll be on to a winner!
These are too unreliable. Sent mine back for a refund.
Hope it's better than this one!

(Available on Amazon for £140 if you fancy one … )
I've had this about a year now. Worked without a blib. I have the zwave module so can monitor and control from homeassistant. I think you have to install it perfectly for it to work as required, anything not quite aligned or binding and you'll have issues.
No issues here after 15 months works perfectly every time with SmartThings
I've been looking at these for a while but ended up with one of these Kaba Simplex locks for reliability.

Had one of these on our back door for well over a year,

No issues or problems, except its a battery hog, gets through 4 AA batteries every couple of months, but I do have the Wifi Module fitted to it.

Have a different Yale Wireless lock on front door and batteries in that last over a year
