These a remore a deterant, just pushes the would burgler further down the road.
Exactly! And, lets face it, who doesn't look out of their window when a house or car alarm goes off. I wouldn't want to miss any of the excitement! Perhaps it's just me as nothing happens where I live. lol
TBH if you are looking to rob a house and one has one of these on the outside and the next door neighbours house doesnt, you are going to be more likely to go for the one without so i would say that yes they are still a deterant and the bar stewards who are robbing the house are not likey to know that nobody in that street will not come looking as it goes off all the time.
Decent alarm- sounds loud enough, easy to fit, no false alarms so far.
yes. it was tamper switches on all units
Gives a flashing light warning when the batteries are running low. Then you need to set it into tamper mode to take it off the wall.
Supposed to last about 2 years depending how much it's used!
With the greatest respect, that sinply is not true.
My parents were burgled and of vourse they then had a burglar alarm system fitted. Yes, I know, "stable doors" etc!
Anyway, the guy who fitted it (police approved), said that burglars are basically a LAZY lot, looking for EASY pickings - otherwise they would be in a job like the rest of decent society.
He said they want in and out with the least hassle possiblem and will always choose a house without an alarm over one with one. As another poster has said, you are moving the problem down the road!
Heat added. Thank you OP.
Agreed! The best deterrent is still a good old fashioned copper, plodding the beat. Where are they? In their cozy station, practising to represent the UK in the tea drinking event in the next Olympics!
YEAH, all their interested in are speeders etc...
what a warped view, do you have any u8nderstandings of the police, or are your opinions base on the Daily Mail or Sun!
Again, I agree. I sleep with a truncheom umder my bed, and if I am lucky enough to catch any lowlife in my house, I will deal with them in such a fashion that they will not burgle again for some considerable time! I have no worries, as the ensuing jail sentence. It would be worth the satisfaction of hearing the scum scream as their bones broke.
Good shout- id do the same too. Scum of society they are.
Okay looks wireless according to the op
Good price thanks
1 left in Streatham store!
Very true...
My garage got burgled, all the locks forced off so I reported it at the station.....and what happened?.....
Two weeks later I got a letter (yes a letter, no visit) saying they would do nothing due to lack of evidence even though they never came to my property, they never spoke to me and the only investigation that took place was from their desk!!!! :x
I complained telling them I had the padlocks which could have finger prints on them and they asked me to bring them down to the station.
Hampshire police are not interested in solving crime, they are more interested in easy pickings of motorists.
So probably best to go and knock your neibours off the wall !!
my neighbour had his car damaged a few months back anyway i get a letter from the police with my address on and a totally different name .
wtf has it got to do with me this sums up the old bill they are quite happy to hide up and nick me for doing 3 mph over the speed limit:x
Not true - imagine you are a burglar - you have 5 identical empty houses 4 with an alarm one without. Which one would you go for?
I have a previous version of this alarm for about 3 or 4 years and its never gone off after a power cut.
Although it says its 100% wireless, itss a bit of a fib. The alarm box and detectors are wireless but the control unit needs a mains power supply.
More info about the alarm here....

A letter to your MP (enclosing a COPY of the one from the police) might be a good idea.
This is simply not acceptable! :x
I read somewhere that a potential burglar will try to set off a house alarm if theres a box on the outside by whatever means. If it gets set off, they will watch from a far to see if anyone takes any notice and then when no one comes, they break in.
So with dummy boxes they wont set it off, plus its still a visual deterent as they dont truly know if its an active alarm or not.
All for £10
No, make sure you report it PCC, police complaints commision.
Burglars, this country has taken things too far. Someone breaks into your house then I am sorry you are allowed to dish out any punishment you want i:e couple of bats round the head. I am all for fairness and justice but it makes me sick when I think that if I tackle a burglar I could be the one up in charges...Ridiculous society we live in....
Oh good post thanks may grab one
