The best wireless alarm I have ever used, and still do, is a 12 guage blank placed in a firing mechanism attached to a trip wire.

If triggered the shell goes off with a decent flash and a very loud bang.

A most efficient solution to a wireless alarm, and no batteries required.

Why a blank?

As much as an intruder deserves to receive a jolly good kicking I haven't time to go to prison
Homebases stock system is really slow, back when the Yale alarms and cameras were reduced, a lot of people were getting to the store to find they'd reserved stock that didn't exist.

If you're making a long journey, it's worth phoning just to double check.

Anyone know how long the battery lasts in these?

Last few similar things I've had become useless pretty quickly.

No idea if the hasp and padlock are any good. If they are, then a fair price just for those.

Its not out of stock everywhere, there are some about, 3 in Sleaford , 3 in Leicester in the quick check ijust made, there was more earlier when i first posted , you need to be quick
Awaiting confirmation from Homebase Altrincham. Thank you! Hot.
Lovely wee job thon one op
Tempted, but it looks like you have to enter the PIN within ten seconds of coming into its vicinity before it goes off... Might just cause a lot of stress and frustration without providing much in the way of protection - don’t imagine it would survive being stamped on or hit with a crowbar by a ne’er do well
Hell of a price, but the closest store is 26 miles away
Reserved one here in Belfast. Some stock available nearby! Thanks op
4 in stock near me reserves one cheers op

I have one of the mines, but I'm struggling to find 12 gauge blanks anywhere. Where do you get yours from, may I ask?

Oh thanks that’s near me!!!
Like someone as already pointed out homebases stock monitoring systems are awful. Stock that probably doesn't even exist. Ring beforehand

Reserved one first thing this morning but just had the call from home base saying the stock system had not updated and now not available. As others have said definitely ring ahead.

If it's attached to a trip wire is it truly wireless?

3 supposed to be in store by me - had call 2 mins after “reserving” to say none in stock. No one is getting it for this price - release the geese. Personally wouldn’t bother driving out my way, you won’t find any.

Good luck with that - they called me to say they didn’t have any in stock, so wouldn’t trust that at all. Don’t drive too far out your way.

No because I live in modern times.

Have you got some sort of problem?

Why ask for a photo, why not have the courtesy to thank me for it, and why make such an ignorant statement at the end of it all!?

Get yourself booked in for some CBT, if that doesn't work for you then try enjoying life on your own.

Whatevs, you quarter wit!

Yeah surely it would just get smashed within a few seconds. I'm not sure how useful these would be.
Good luck finding stock!
