I've got the last one in Sheffield, the one with 4 cameras, 2 hours later they rung me to tell me they do not have any in stock. Hope you'll have better luck!
Good price but this discontinued items
Reserved 1080 one yesterday they called me to tell me someone reserved it before me... system stated i reserved it...
..
Thanks OP ordered two and two sets of extra cameras fingers crossed they don’t call me to say they have none left
I reserved the 4 cam one in the Acton store
said they had a flood over the weekend and my item has been damaged, what a load of ***
None around. I would expire this.
Stock available at several shops in East Anglia. I'm not going for it because I prefer wireless cameras and on-line recording.

I was given the excuse when I reserved the item at their Brentford branch which isabout 4 mile apart.
There’s one in Wakefield should anyone nearby want that one.
Does that totally rely on WiFi or also has 3G build in to send alerts via SMS?
Anyone know if you can swap out the 720 cameras with 1080 ones?

Plenty around. Just because there's none near you it should be expired. Clown.

Yeah can't see anything that states otherwise. Have reserved this and 2x 2 1080p cameras. Will just sell the 720p ones off if I decide to keep the set.

Amazon have a well reviewed 1080p 8 camera set (inc. 1TB HDD) for £175.99 so will have to plan properly and then take it from here.
Link to the Amazon here one if anyone's interested

EDIT: Amazon have the one above on Subscribe & Save, so you can get a new one each month for only £167.19

Good luck, reserves a number of these and home alarms at various Homebase’s. Although they even called me to say my stock was ready I arrived at each store to be told they either put the wrong item aside or they were out of stock. Their reserve and collect isn’t working at the moment
I managed to get one reserved, hope they don't cancel.
Hu guys

has anyone had this installed and working, the 1080p version?

thanks

They didn’t cancel on me, in fact they even confirmed they had it but on arrival turns out they had the wrong item, happened in 2 stores
They have one in the south manchester branch

dvr with 4 camera 1080p HD priced at £198.99
Although cameras are obviously better than no cameras, 1080 really is the lowest red you should be using. With 720 you sometimes need the object to be right in front of the camera to get enough detail.

A friend had a similar system not that long ago and from 6 feet you could barely work out a persons features on the camera footage or stills.

I’m afraid with security cameras the old say is true.

Buy cheap. Buy twice.
Homebase....the next casualty in closures. I reserved this along with smart door latch and a host of other options over the phone last week and to be told on arrival to pickup that none of them were there but there are some door contacts if you want them....REALLY I then tried to purchase a Smart Yale alarm for the external garage but before the transaction could take place they said someone reserved it over the phone whilst i was in the queue !!! The staff are so laid back they are practically horizontal and totally disinterested in anything other than chit chat between each other. CS is the worst out there and in a current climate I personally it is only a matter of time. Never again
I have one I collected today just need to fit it and see how it is. Better than nothing.

I picked this up last night, it has 4 inputs blocked off, which I assumed was the 1080p ones(going by a video I saw of an 8 channel version). However, when I connected one camera up to test on the screen it said input 1 and 2 were 720p and 3 and 4 were 1080p so not sure. I am going to collect two 1080p cameras today so will test them and report back.

Let us know how you get on with the 1080p cameras.
Just snagged the last one at Wolverhampton for £198. Going to check some reviews out before I decide to keep it.

It might be a while for me to get back to you on this one. Trying to sort the rest of the house out at the moment so probably won't get round to this until a later date.

Just to let you know, I managed to test this system and it worked fine. So that's the 720p system with two cameras with two additional 1080p cameras and they worked fine. There is a noticeable difference between the two, also the 1080p has a wider viewing angle.

That’s brilliant, thanks for letting me know. Any feedback on how good the system is as a whole and the picture quality of the 1080p cameras?

Thanks

No problem.

Well, I've only set it up to test everything was working(just in case it sat in its box for months waiting for me getting around to installing it). I don't have anything to compare it to cctv wise, and I've not set it up to view outside or at any distance yet. It looks good though(not the best picture quality I've ever seen but I don't foresee any issues for my requirements) and for the money I am very happy but time will tell. Hopefully I'll get it up sooner rather than later, and without any problems.
Has anyone worked out how to playback footage on the yale cctv app (android)? I have no problem through the box on the tv but only seem to be able view live footage on phone . Thanks

You can't play back on the app you can only watch live as far as I'm aware. I haven't found out how to do it yet anyway.

Update on my end - had it all professionally installed with the 720p DVR and 4x 1080p cameras, but once I turned it on this morning none of the cameras would display. It would show a black screen for each camera with either "720p" in green letters, or "1080p" in red letters and wouldn't get past that no matter what I tried. Luckily I have a day left to return this to Homebase.

Is there anything in particular that you had to do to get it working?

Thanks

I am not sure, I haven't installed mine yet but did you test it before installation? And did they all work ok when it was installed and now it is not?

I think that the 720p DVR can do two 720p cameras and two 1080p. I am sure one and two are for 720p and three and four for 1080p, at least that is how I remember it when I tested mine out when I got it. Sorry, can't be of much help!
