Having experienced burglar recently, I am quite keen to set up a burglar alarm in/ around my house. This Yale system has ticked everything I want to have (wireless, autodial, DIY installation, PET friendly if you want to) and from the reevoo review it is really a quite reliable system. I am going to place the order tomorrow!!!

The description from Tesco direct is quite vague, better check this website to find details, quicksafe.co.uk/yal…htm. it even has a link direct you to a setup video which I think it is quite handy although I think the installation guide will be included in the DVD coming with the system. Have a go if you had enough of worrying about your house while you are on your holiday!!!

Dont forget your 4% quidco back as well!!

Is this the same one that was on offer at Argos for £99 some time ago?

if the wireless is 2.4ghz it will interfere with wifi

I think it's that one:
yalelock.co.uk/en/…984

which according to description is working at 433.92 Mhz

They couldn't really sell one that interfers with Wifi unless you life somewhere in a lost corner of Scotland or so...

Not TWO?

we had a burglar alarm, it was stolen by some builders that were working here. Pillox. Thinking of getting a replacement.

the argos deal is not available any longer - this is a good deal now!

personally I'd go for the BT VP1000 one I've had a couple of these for my house and relatives, easy to fit and give you 3 months free monitoring as well (it rings your home, mobile and emails you if your alarm goes off)
£75.99 plus you can add in accessories as you wish, extra PIR's key fobs etc (aye its remote control!)

edit - just realised ebay links not allowed check ebay for bt vp1000 the full kit I've bought a couple off seller catdr with no problem, I am in no way affiliated to them nor do I live in the same country

It must be good to live in the past?? Argos doesn't even have this product now...:?:?

I'm looking for a new house alarm myself, can anyone recommend this one?

Have a look at the old thread when it was on offer from Argos, many many replies and opinions:

hotukdeals.com/ite…99-

I was convinced at that time and got it, but haven't found the time yet to install it (just moved house, renovated etc...)

Hope that helps to make up your mind!
