Not much I'd imagine.
Been looking at home security for a bit now but still unsure what to buy

SR-330 (as posted here)
SR-320 (amazon.co.uk/Yal…1_1?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1520339388&sr=1-1&keywords=sr-320&dpID=41k-XL%252Blk4L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch)

or the screwfix offer

anyone with any recommendations?
Dreadful customer service and support from Yale, I bought a house with the older version of this fitted in December and I have not yet managed to get it working. You can never speak to technical support you just get a call center and they log your call and say someone will ring you back, but they never do so I have to chase every week. Many similar stories on Twitter.

I would save your money and go with the Screwfix offer, the only thing the other ones do is allow you to remotely set your alarm on/off
Professional Comments please which one is better this Yale one or RISCO

Are they both DIY?
Any other recommendations please.....
For those after advice, I bought a SMANOS alarm system and am very happy with it. Enough to buy another for the parents' house.

Risco is bordering on commercial alarm systems, much better than Yale imo.

This one is cheaper, but looks like the older version going by the pictures. PIRs and door sensors have been updated.

Thanks for the response. Can you recommend any for a detached house. Any links please for the one u recommend based of features etc
TBH i've only been looking into it these past few weeks since the Screwfix deal on the Yale. I have a detached house, with a dog... so the Risco one ticks all the boxes for me as all their PIRs are pet friendly, and you have to pay extra with Yale for that, it has mult-zones and multi PIN access, and also it comes with the fob which again Yale charges extra. Im going to add another door sensor, 2 more PIRs, a siren box for the rear of the property and maybe the smoke alarm (on top of the FireAngels i already have just for notification)... with all that, combined with CCTV, im sure thats the best i can do without going silly money through professional install. Risco seemed to get good reviews on most of the sites i looked at, im sure i read somewhere that their PIRs are made by Bosch, but dont quote me on that.

Good reviews here:

Risco Owner Reviews

The electricshowroom link i gave seems to be the cheapest out there, but i am going to ring them and see if it is the older style as TLC Direct definately stock the new one, plus new addons. It worked out around £80 more expensive for the bits i needed from TLC, but id sooner pay the extra if required knowing its the latest versions if ES only have old stock.

I work 10 mins from my house, so the free notifications via app will benefit me as i can jump in the car and be home asap if needed, false or not... baseball bat in hand

Don't bother jumping in the car. They'd be long gone by the time you got back.

Google Smanos alarm, there are many options and models. I went with the X.500 - pricing varies a lot, often discounted through places like Maplin.
Just confirmed that ES is the new stock... so by far the best price out there on the Risco gear.
