Am I missing something? This seems to sell for near £400 elsewhere.

Couldn’t say no in the end abs have bought it. Thanks @DealDroid
Price now £154.01
This looks like a bargain. If I hadn't recently got a 000, I'd order this. Heat
Went to buy and it jumped to 275.20
£275.00 now
I was able to buy one. 😁😁😁
£275 is a decent price too if a parlour guitar is what you’re after..

I would say no, better to go for a full size guitar ‘dreadnought’ shape.

Electric is generally easier to learn on, strings thinner so less pressure needed to hold them down. Especially when you encounter the F barre chord.
Why didn't I check Hot UK Deals last night? This was a red hot deal. :-(
I saw it and skipped past it because it thought it was a cheapo guitar.....it was a really great deal for a mid range travel guitar, a bargain in fact.

Wonder how the OP stumbled upon it? I never find true bargains like this

As @kevcrawfy says - dreadnought - assuming playing steel stringed acoustic is the goal... also depends what type of music you want to play, but it's the most common style which projects chords very well and is suitable for strumming and notes.

This CSF1M is a Parlour guitar it's shorter which means (I'm gonna assume without checking) fewer frets than dreadnought and it's likely to be better suited to fingerpicking, plucking an twanging than playing chords (strumming chords IMO is a good starting point). It's kinda of designed for slinging over your shoulder or round the campfire type things...

Just because it's a bargain doesn't mean it's "suitable" though it's likely to have a decent action.. I just think it might be a turn off as a learner guitar... tbh I started playing on classical guitars (not classical music.. mostly punk!) and I found that easier, less finger pressure and fat chunky frets.. or there' Ukelele... the Yamaha F310 is a de-facto entry-level dreadnought .. and you can pick them up for £50 used easy that's where I would start. Here's a little guide to body styles from Dawsons : dawsons.co.uk/blo…pes

The price looks to have been chipped away at algorithmically... I think some cunning scraping and coding could provide assistance in locating bargains
