i have his and for a starter guitar its pretty good value.
glossy finish on the guitar shows up all the finger prints tho, and the strap is just OK.

worth getting it setup properly (which I didn't do for ages)

The yamaha has a 15w amp thermal rider, I haven't looked into reviews for this one much. When it was £99 at amazon I had a quick look but couldn't find anything professional on the erg121. On the other hand the pacifica has been posted before (I think at higher prices) and I've seen numerous positive reports, not something I've heard mentioned for the erg121.

I had/have a similar Yamaha '212' guitar as my first Electric guitar.
Not very musical, but friends that were reckoned it was a good guitar.
Cost me a smidge under £200 with a portable amp about 18 years ago.
Guitar is still going strong and has been passed around various friends to see if they liked playing the guitar without splashing out the cash.
