Great complete package for those wanting to learn the guitar,i've been waiting for this to dip under the £100 mark for ages.It gets fantastic reviews from buyers on Amazon and is apparently THE guitar package to buy.RRP £149.99 and free delivery too.
Manufacturer's Description
The F310 offers outstanding quality at a truly budget price. The lively sound from the spruce/meranti body has a bright, sweet resonance not unlike Yamaha's renowned FGs, and real rosewood is used for the fingerboard and bridge. The handling comfort of the slightly reduced body depth and intermediate scale length will be particularly appreciated by younger players.
Please note the smaller accessories are supplied in a carton at the bottom of the main box.

Box Contains
Guitar
Spare strings
Electronic tuner
Strap
3 plectrums included
Instant Guitar DVD

Thanks - I was checking this out on Sunday and wondered when it would come down again - Didn't have to wait long . Bought for Daughter No 1 . Cheers
Nice price, been researching what will be my first guitar and kept coming back to the 310, looking forward to the postman forcing it through the letter box Thanks.
I got one of these a while back for a bit less. The guitar whiffs a bit.
Bought the guitar on it's own for a hundred previously so good deal. The guitar sounds beautiful.
Good deal. OH researched which would be his first guitar, the 310 kept coming up, he paid this price for guitar alone so this is a great deal.
argos also now have this kit at this price
Always gets hot this. I bought one a few years back, and still the same quality no doubt. Highly recommend to all.
This site should be blocked to stop me buying stuff I never knew I needed.

save £10 if you don't want a case and stand:-
Basic pack

Great deal - I paid £116 just last week after waiting for it to drop from the £130 it was. If only I'd hung on just that bit longer but never mind.

I'm no expert, but the guitar sounds fine to me.
That's a good price for a beginner's guitar. If you've been playing for a while then something from the 700 series like the FG730S is a better option in the £200 - £300 range. Fantastic guitars which sound (IMO) better than some of the £500 - £800 Martin Guitars I've tried.

Now there's something you don't expect to see covered in a review...apparently there's factory 'floorspace sharing' going on in Korea nowadays (to keep costs down).... I've heard it said that the Yamaha guitar assembly plant shares factory floor space with a scampi processing company....so anyone playing one of these will likely end up with fish fingers.

Not sure that's the same pack. Doesn't seem to include the stand or the bag. Getting a decent stand is quite a bonus, as leaning a guitar against a wall can lead to a bendy neck.
Why is this under gaming?

I posted it under "other" as there didn't seem to be any more suitable description catergory.

I don't suppose anyone knows if this is available in left-handed?
Thanks
This Yamaha is probably one of the best quality instruments for beginners (especially at this price) avoid all them cheapy catalogue/Argos deals and go for this..great deal.
reviews of this say that the fretboard is too narrow - I would recommend the Fender Squier SA-105, the newer version is available from thomann @ £60

I've got fingers like a bunch of bananas on steroids, would you recommend this Fender for a beginer?

I'd suggest, if you have never played guitar before, that it would be much more beneficial to learn right handed.

Right handed instruments are cheaper, often have more selection and things like chord books and diagrams make more sense.

EDIT
Also, fretboard too narrow? for what exactly?...and the squier you posted has almost exactly the same width fretboard (its actually wider by 1/16 of an inch)

Both are good guitars. Nobody's got a bad deal here

I'd firmly disagree. If you're a left-hooker, get a decent left-handed and learn the proper way. You'll find it a little harder, reading chord shapes upside-down and all that, but us lefties have that brain capacity to spare anyway, right?
Great guitars and a good deal.

Stringing it upside down is always an option. It worked for Jimi
Bought this for my daughter 6 weeks ago for £125, a top piece of kit.

just stating what I found from reviews on the net, but I'm happy with the Squier and would highly recommend it if your after a guitar and not extras you probably won't ever use.
These get great reviews. Not sure if £100 is a brilliant price - though I think this pack is maybe a bit more expensive usually. Certianly you are looking ball park £70 for this 2nd hand, for the guitar alone, so £99 for a stand, bag etc is probably a decent deal. A stand will cost you about a tenner anyway.
Even 2nd hand ones via ebay will still cost you about that much when you take postage into consideration...
Yamaha nice quality and consistently good reviews.

I considered this one previously but finally opted for a 2nd hand APX500 electro acoustic instead on the recommendation of a friend for a learner friendly guitar. Paid a bit more , but really impressed with Yamaha's build quality.

I think this offer is an excellent choice and a quality introduction to guitars which should offer continued incentive to anyone starting out.
Definitely don't string it upside down!

What they don't say is that Hendrix needed to change the nut on the guitar in order to reverse the strings. It's not as simple as just swapping the strings over.

As a guitar teacher, I do stand by my suggestion to learn right handed. It makes things much easier and cheaper in the long run and has absolutely no negative effects on your playing ability.
just ordered one for me...but it's saying that delivery in 1 month....

When it says that it normally takes a few days to a week in my experience.
