The silver one was £179.00, but now the black one is £169.00 after being £199.00 for a while. This is a great starter av receiver and an amazing price. The HDMI sockets allow 4k HDR pass-through and all will accept HDCP 2.2. Great sound at such a low budget.

We are discussing an audio receiver, not yoghurts, what are you going on about?

Apologies, I voted cold by mistake.

Countered with a Hot instead of Cold. Re-addressing the balance.

Looks good. Bluetooth will come in handy. Mine doesn't allow 4K pass through, so is in need of an upgrade. Heat.

Never heard of Onkyo, get a Sony.

not bad price. sure I seen it for £149 somewhere recently. I bought the Rx-v581 for £229 to replace my aging onkyo

Yeah that's part of the problem with Onkyo receivers, they run very hot, especially this time of year. I had one like this where it got very hot after a good few hours use (not driven hard) and it eventually killed the HDMI board so it only worked for sound. Onkyo weren't interested so eventually gave up and sold it for parts. High end AV receivers really should have a fan to keep the temps down. If I was buying another AV receiver I'd probably get one like this, rather than give Onkyo another £350, though for now I'm finding a sound bar good enough for my relatively small room and much more compact.
