Fantastic feature rich Atmos 7.2 Receiver for under £300, even has Bluetooth transmit for wireless speakers or BT headphones. Although it gets an average review on What HiFi for harsh sound i'd take that with a pinch of salt. Not saying they tend to be biased towards certain advertisers but.....

But no DAB/DAB+ module.

No idea if it has streaming capabilities, but that requires data, where as DAB doesn't.
anyone recommend a decent av atmos not needed but need 4k pass through up to £400 with speakers

Is the 1080 all that still? Hasn't been refreshed for several years, lots of complaints about display etc. Just asking as I keep going on / off the idea of getting an AV box

You probably know more than me - just when I read around about the 1080 before it was 50/50 - some people loved it, some people hated all the bugs - but I've never personally used one.

Most AVR don't have DAB these days as steaming is better quality. Using data is not normally an issue using home broadband as most contracts are unlimited. (Then again radio streaming does not use that much anyway.)

Yamaha run cooler than most and are quite reliable.

If, you have broadband /4G to stream with.

Scottish isles frequently have neither, yet were used as 5G test beds. DAB signals are fantastic however, and are not tracked, unlike streaming.
I am tempted by this. Thanks
This or a Denon 2400h for £250 from local Richer Sounds with 30 day warranty?
