I made a separate deal for it, here.

Any ideas of how this compares to the Denon avr-2300x? Both similar in price...

Richer Sounds have a useful comparison tool, where you can choose up to three AV Receivers to comapare.
The three that I'm currently looking at are the Yamaha RXV681, the Onkyo TXNR656 and the Denon AVRX2300W.
You can choose which amps you want to comapre here.
The Denon may just shade it, but it depends on what you want?

Thanks chap! I'm leaning towards the Denon to be honest, simply due to winning more awards, truthfully I don't think there's much between them.

What does the 681 have that's worth the extra money?

4K upscaling, slightly higher power output, 2 extra HDMI inputs, component input, phono input.

Richer Sounds just made my mind up for me; they dropped the price of the Denon AVRX2300W to £349. Trigger pulled.

Let us know what you think. Last 10 years I've had 5 AV receivers. 3x Yamaha, 1x Sony and 1 Onkyo. All similar spec throughout the years.

The Onkyo was beyond awful. Tinny sound, extremely poor interface and customisation. Not to mention an onslaught of bugs. The Sony was okay, but Yahama has always been the winner for me.

But this Denon has so many more features than 681, it simply must be considered. It also has great reviews. So let us know.
