Yamaha XSR900 £6999 @ Fowlers

After the Tracer deal went so hot I realised there are a lots of interest in motorbikes on this site so I decided to post this one too.

Same as the Tracer 900, the XSR900 is being reduced too and lots of bike shops are selling them for £6999. They are usually around the £8500 mark so £1500 off is great savings if you were looking to get one.

I really want one! But the Mrs would kill me in my sleep with a house brick!
Great price but two things put me off.

One: It's flipping freezing out.

Two: I don't like hospitals.

But, I do like Easy Rider and The Great Escape.

Decisions decisions.
Wouldn't be surprised if someone started biking because of a hukd deal

Plenty of idiots on motorcycles too..

I agree with your comment!!,
However most bikers I know treat there machines like there pride and joy (you know how car drivers use to) yet I see ALOT of car drivers these days with a kinda point n go mind, not knowing or even trying to observe what's around them because as far as they are concerned it's just a mode of transport and they don't seem to care if or when they will be involved in an accident.

A thing of beauty!
Looks nice but my XJ6 is good and fast enough!

Great price, cheaper than buying a 2nd hand one! Sadly still too expensive for me, will be blowing the cobwebs off my trusty old 2002 ZZR 600 Ninja soon for another spring/summer.

Looks to be the same engine as the MT-09 which is an absolutely fantastic bike to ride, the perfect balance between speed and economy and you just can’t beat flat bars
Do these come with heated seats?

These are lovely looking bikes and meant to have better suspension and a smoother throttle than the MT09. I'm seriously debating whether to swop my SV for one of these.
Personally give fowlups a miss for after sales, bunch of donuts down there, good price though
I got rid of my 125... The girlfriend said I wobbled too much

Would love this but, I'm the same as my 1995 zzr1100 will be dusted of and the spiders evicted for the spring/summer

At least it would be peaceful; sort of
Fowlers is a good place to buy one. I drive 300 mile to get a new wr250f enduro from there and took it apart to put in the back of my pick up and but g it home. They helped out and did a fantastic deal.
Nice

My missus says I wobble too much too. Hasn't been on the back since we had kids though... Curious
Looks fit... Wouldn't fancy cleaning it though
Would love another bike but to many idiots in cars clueless to bikers being on the road
Still have the metal work in my leg from my last incident

So you know that but still risk it? Is it still 40 times more likely to be seriously injured or die? Do you have family? What about priviate health cover (or happy for the overstretched NHS/welfare to cover)?
Massiveily happy for bike use to continue but reckon we now need taxation to cover the increased costs for the rest of us.

Great looking bike but if I do buy another it won't be a naked, I'm not hardcore enough for these things.
The trick is to let them think that they are winning! She got a kitchen extension, I got the bike , and I get to use kitchen., but she can't use my bike 😋
Always wanted to be an organ donor

Do you wear huge shoes and have paint on your face?

Car drivers that hit bikers should be jailed. For a long time. Sell any of their assets to cover the health care bill to fix the broken biker and his bike and his helmet and oh those poor leathers and lovely boots!

Have you smoked? Do you drink? Do you eat anything with sugar in it? All of those should incur heavy additional taxation. Don't go to the gym or regularly exercise say 5 hours+ per week, I'd tax you again.....

You talk a lot of rubbish sir.

That's what bike insurance is for. And the NHS isn't overstretched. It's under-funded.

Does it occur to you people might own both a bike and a car and be equally idiotic on both?
Not as good as a Royal Enfield Bullet 500.

Believe me I was thinking of getting a license before I read your comment but my dear old parents would be relentless in convincing me to not to. It would be like telling them I running away with Mrs Jones as a teenager. Devastated
If I could find a huge town with roads and streers made entirely out of fluffy soft mattresses id buy one and ride it
the MT-03 at £4000 is a mental price! :O :O

40 times more likely but not 40 times the volume of car drivers going into the hospitals

There is a reason public health is in place so everyone pays equal

Yep. This is what I happened to me after I got to close to a trailer whilst trying to filter past and he swung out on me.
33240531-LFVGM.jpg13 years on a bike not sure I've got the confidence to get back on. I did love my Honda NC750 and the bike here is so tempting.
That hospital room is a bug trap ...look at the untidy shelved bugs .. Our NHS better get their money to help bikers ..see the program on tv
I think you need a fairing on a bike in this country, makes massive difference to how cold you get. I would get a Tracer as it has a fairing. Also need heated grips.

Just shut up and stop reading and commenting on threads you have absolutely no interest in.

I've lost two good friends to biking accidents, both the fault of other non-biking road users.

It's ignorance like yours that leads to bikers like these losing their lives.

I've always wanted to learn. Friend when I was younger let me down and I've never thought about it again after two car accidents. Recently passed a car IAM test and examiner asked have you ever had accidents where someone has pulled out on you... Yeah twice. Well keep slowing down like you do at junctions it's going to happen again... Know this would happen if I got a bike and I'd get seriously injured or worse. It's hard to get confidence back after car accident never mind on a bike
