Featuring built-in stereo speakers and a wireless subwoofer, this soundbar gives you powerful, immersive sound that’s missing from your TV. Thanks to Clear Voice mode, you also finally get to hear dialogue just as it should be – crisp and clear.
DTS Virtual:X – surround sound, without the extra speakers
The Yamaha YAS209 impresses with DTS Virtual:X technology. Virtual:X gives the impression of height from the sound, meaning that effects such a helicopter flying overhead or falling rain sound more realistic than ever – without the need for extra ceiling speakers.
Powerful bass from a wireless subwoofer
Letting you make the most of an action film or music concert, a separate subwoofer adds a level of realism that is more hi-fi than TV. With the YAS-209, you feel explosive soundtracks and hear a whole new level of powerful sound from music concerts. Best of all, this extra power comes with very little inconvenience. The wireless sub connection means there’s no wire between the soundbar and subwoofer. The subwoofer itself is compact and easy to position, requiring just a mains socket to plug in and go.
Alexa voice control
With Amazon’s Alexa built-in, all you have to do is ask. Useful voice-activated functions include changing the volume, selecting source, muting, and selecting streaming services such as Amazon Music. Of course, it doesn’t just have to be about the sound. You can also ask Alexa about the weather or set a timer.
Stream your music
Download the Yamaha Sound Bar Controller app (Apple iOS or Android), and you can stream your stored music and favourite music services, such as Spotify (premium account required) and Amazon Music. The app also lets you link up with NAS (Network Attached Storage) drives on your network and stream stored music. Simply connect to your network router by wi-fi or Ethernet cable and you’re good to go.
Bluetooth it
If you struggle with wi-fi reception or prefer an even easier set-up, you can also connect your music device via Bluetooth. With more turntables now fitted with a Bluetooth output, this is a highly convenient way of listening to your records. Or simply connect up your smartphone for instant music streaming
Easy HDMI connection
With flexible connectivity, the YAS-209 is compatible with most TVs. The HDMI sockets are compatible with HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG and HDCP2.3 – meaning that they work with top quality streaming and UHD Blu-ray sources. The HDMI connections (1 in/1 out) are also 3D Ready and support Audio Return Channel (ARC) functionality for reduced cabling. If you’re unable to use HDMI, a digital optical input is also on hand.

6 year warranty for £20 (refundable if not used) is definitely worth it.
Also says £20 off with code SOUNDBAR20 but doesn’t work in checkout. (edited)
I am leaning towards this as a yamaha.
