The ones in Tesco are Home Inspiration. A cheap Yankee candle made especially for Supermarkets. You can't compare those to these.
I am afraid that I would receive “Festive” that would be Xmas fragrance. That’s why I won’t order any.

Yes, just commit fraud (and openly admit to it on a public forum) sounds like a great idea.

Thanks - will grab one for Mothers Day!
I always get the worse scents in lucky dips so I'll pass. It's a very good deal for a large jar.

It's not. Yankee do not sell full Yankee candles in supermarkets. They will sell Yankee Home Inspiration ranges. If you don't believe me Google it or check their website.

I'm sorry, but mock all you want. Yankee do not sell the large, medium or small jars in Tesco that are the proper type. They sell the Home inspirations ranges. It's not even an argument - if you want to validate it, I'll even give you the telephone number for their customer service team

Got you on that point to be fair but no the supermarket ones are not the same as the 'original' candles at all.

Easiest way to prove that you're correct is to post a photograph (with your username and today's date on a piece of paper beside it).
That would be your argument won, although I suspect that you won't as the supermarkets do not sell original Yankee Candle as you've already been told.

And if i did some smart arse would come along and say thats not the candle i bought. Whats the point? I didnt realise people had so little time on their hands to be this bothered lol. Its a candle fgs. Thanks for the condescending Idea though.

You're trying to prove something that essentially is highly improbable. If you want to be known on here as someone who has a loose relationship with the truth, that's up to you. That's not being condescending, that's just life.
Interestingly, you still haven't proven it regardless, so I'm no longer giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Up to you. Most normal people don't like being made out to be telling untruths, regardless of the forum.

All I was suggesting was a way for you to prove that what you were saying was true. You're unable to do this, so I'd suggest that, on the balance of probability, you were mistaken in your beliefs.

It's not even my argument! It seems to have burnt out, anyway.
We can all remain safe in the knowledge that Tesco don't sell Yankee Candles (other than the home inspirations variant) as no proof has ever been provided to the contrary.

I know - I just wanted to use a bunch of candle puns
Seems like a good price.

I sometimes buy these as gifts for people that I do not visit. If I am in a house with any of these it is like mustard gas to my eyes.

Heated.

I guess if you want your house to smell like a toilet. They smell really chemically, not even remotely close to Yankee Candle.

They smell exactly like them.
There’s a selection of large Yankee candles that are going for £9 in Asda and Asda online at the mo. Stony cove, sugar blossom, sweet peas to name a fewetc...
Alright, I'll weigh in.

A) the Tesco and Asda ones are not proper Yankee, they are the inferior home inspiration range which are not worth buying.

B) recent randoms from YB have been great and I don't care which I get. If there is a terrible one it then gets gifted.....

C) ordered 5 for £47.50. must be my 100th YB account to get the 5% each time

Hot from me.

Obviously, that would mean reading the thread though, and ain't nobody got time for that.

40049819-IpDR5.jpgBought this from tesco yesterday, not sure what it proves but it does seem to be a sub brand, home Inspiration? Smells nice anyway but I rarely buy candles so not sure what difference this is to a 'real' yankee candle or if it's much worse... love the drama over candles tho guys.. amazing.
The large home inspiration ones were £7 (winter Apple), £8 (pumpkin) or £9 (all other) in my local tesco
