Warm desert wind? I get that after a curry.

Graphic....lol
But what does getting wind after a curry have to do with either being warm or being about a desert? I simply don’t understand how a flatulence joke can be made out of just one of the three words describing this candle. And be remotely funny. Is it a case of simple, unsophisticated schoolboy humour that I am just too developed to appreciate? When the word wind is used in any context, (here in the title of a candle, which has nothing whatsoever to do with digestion), does it automatically result in fnar fnar type giggling? I don’t get it. At all.

Incidentally, the aroma of this candle isn’t particularly strong. Even after being lit for a while I struggle to smell any semblance of what I’d expect to find in a desert on a lovely, temperate, slightly breezy day or evening. Nice, toffee colour, though, if fitting in with your internal decor is a concern.

Thanks for the post, though, it’s a good price....for what it is.

The question is how did you assume this is flatulence joke at all? You assumed that from three words?
I don't get it... At all

But I guess there's always one party pooper!

I assumed it was a joke about flatulence because you said that, ie ‘warm desert wind’ is what you get after a curry. Now, there’s a long-standing belief that a curry will increase the chances of flatulence as the ingredients, particularly the spices, work their way through the body causing various chemical reactions, often resulting in the expulsion of excess gasses. This is a natural process which, sometimes, can be quite uncomfortable. I don’t mean to minimise the effects of such reactions. Indeed, I often suffer myself. I never joke about it, though. That might just be me, though. I think children find farting funny but, as I get older, I increasingly don’t. I do still enjoy a curry from time to time, however. And lovely smelling candles, especially Yankee Candles, of which I’m a great fan, so it’s always good to know about bargains.

Worth checking is Yankee Bundles, which is a constant source of well-priced items from this great manufacturer.

It’s been fun joshing with you.
I always see “Yankee Candles” on hukd, I must be missing something. Are they very popular? Very good? Have an arrangement with hukd? I am confused.

You sound so incredibly boring! I agree the joke wasn’t funny but full paragraphs explaining why! Must have way too much time on your hands 🙈
I think the key was ‘It’s been fun joshing with you’.

And, with regard to having ‘way too much time on your(my) hands’.......you read the ‘full paragraphs’. Hey ho.

Anyways, that’s me done.

I don’t think hukd has an arrangement with Yankee Candles. It might be that, as they are relatively expensive, and reduction could be classified as a deal.

I came across Yankee Bundles through a post on here and am glad I did. Great reductions and free delivery.

I'm with you on this, had never heard of them until I joined HUKD. Seem quite expensive for scented candles.
